GameCube
- (pronounced
Ga-me Cu-be) was the revolutionary gaming console by Nintendo
that not only challenged the existing game market but is the only true
dedicated games machine that is currently still on the market. Powered
by a custom designed 485Mhz IBM processor codenamed Gekko, the Nintendo
GameCube also supports a variety of the latest state-of-the-art graphic
effects such as bump mapping, real-time hardware texture decompression
and anti-aliasing. The console also has the capability of drawing up to
12 million polygons per second in actual game conditions with complex
environments and fully textured models.
