Kingston Technology Releases World’s First, Fastest Low-Voltage, Ultra-Low Voltage Performance Memory
First to Market with HyperX 1.25 Volts at 1600MHz; 1.35 Volts at 1866MHz
Sydney, Australia: March 10, 2010 — Kingston Technology Co., Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the release of the world’s first ultra-low voltage memory running at 1.25 volts at 1600MHz. The new offering is part of the new Kingston ‘LoVo’ (low voltage) HyperX DDR3 High-Performance memory product line. The dual-channel kit (Kingston part #: KHX1866C9D3LK2/4GX) comes preprogrammed with two XMP-ready profiles: 1.25 volts at 1600MHz and 1.35 volts at 1866MHz. The latter profile is also a world’s first for speed matching higher frequency with a lower voltage.
“Kingston is proud to lead the charge with memory for the new generation of energy efficient systems that yield higher performance,” said Vaughan Nankivell, Regional Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Kingston. “Energy-conscious consumers need to look no further for memory than the HyperX ‘LoVo’ line when they are assembling the components needed to achieve better PC power performance.”
The flagship product, running an ultra-low 1.25 volts at 1600MHz, is the lowest voltage to date for desktop PCs. In all, Kingston is debuting three HyperX DDR3 dual-channel products in the ‘LoVo’ line: the dual-profile kit, a mainstream low voltage 1600MHz, 1.35 volt kit and an ultra-low voltage 1333MHz, 1.25 volt kit. Kingston tested all three kits to great success on the Asus P7P55D EVO motherboard. All of the memory offerings are designed for use in eco-friendly PCs as systems delivering higher performance while using smaller energy footprints become reality.

GDC 2010: ATLUS RELEASES FULL TRAILER FOR ZENO CLASH: ULTIMATE EDITION, FIRST-PERSON BRAWLER FOR XBOX LIVE ARCADE FOR XBOX 360
Opportunistic publisher not really at GDC, just using prefix for added attention
|
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — MARCH 09, 2010 — Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today released the official full trailer for Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition™, the indie first-person brawler for Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The trailer, which offers gamers their best look yet at the world of Zenozoik, also brings more attention to the game’s narrative, an oft-overlooked aspect of what makes Zeno Clash a unique, can’t-miss experience.
“Discussions about Zeno Clash tend to focus on the game’s fantasticly satisfying first-person melee combat and hauntingly gorgeous art direction, but often overlook one of the game’s greatest strengths: its story,” stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales for Atlus. “With powerful themes of deception, revenge, and redemption, a creative non-linear chronology of events, and set within a fully-realized world inhabited by outlandish albeit believable creatures, Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition delivers, quite appropriately, one heck of a knockout punch. Gamers will be hard pressed to find a better, more substantial offering, not to mention a better value.” Beyond its core strengths, Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition also boasts a number of significant additions and enhancements over the game’s original release. Cooperative split-screen and online multiplayer for the game’s Tower and Pit Challenges lets players fight side-by-side, and online leaderboards let pugilists put their punching proficiency to the test. New weapons and melee moves expand the game’s already deep combat, while tweaks to the controls and optimizations to the engine make beating the crap out of enemies even more enjoyable. In short, it’s called “Ultimate Edition” for a reason.
Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 is scheduled to release in Spring 2010. Visit the official game website (www.zenoclash.com) for more information. |

2K Games Partners with Playboy magazine to bring 2K Games Partners with Playboy magazine to bring Sophistication and Classic Imagery to Mafia® II
Vintage covers and Centerfolds from the archives of the world’s best-selling men’s monthly magazine to be found throughout the world of Empire Bay
Sydney, Australia– March 9, 2010 – 2K Games announced today that it has signed a license agreement with Playboy magazine for a unique in-game integration to use more than 50 of their vintage covers and Centerfolds in Mafia® II, this year’s highly anticipated epic mobster game for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC. Set in the fully realized and immersive 1940s and 1950s American urban cityscape of Empire Bay, Mafia II will enable players to collect virtual copies of the iconic magazine, which has served as the definitive guide to lifestyle and culture for men since December 1953.
“While most mob-inspired games’ emphasis is solely on action, Mafia II features a deep and compelling narrative that is embellished with a sophisticated, era-evoking atmosphere,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “In partnering with Playboy, we are able to add a unique element of authenticity to the game by using vintage images from the magazine that illustrate the power of Playboy’s influence on the attitudes and culture of that generation.”
Mafia II is a beautifully crafted look into the dark and unforgiving world of the Mafia where clothing, cars, music and advertising are meticulously created to replicate an American city in the ‘40s and ‘50s. Players will easily become engaged in the game’s cinematic, Hollywood-style experience with strong, believable characters in a living, breathing city that transports them to a time when rock-n-roll first strummed its guitar and chrome-plated hot rods roared down boulevards.
“For more than 55 years, Playboy has been a part of America’s pop culture landscape, engaging its readers with insightful features, interviews and fashion spreads, as well as pictorials of some of the world’s most beautiful women,” said Playboy magazine’s Editorial Director Jimmy Jellinek. “Mafia II is set when Playboy first came into vogue and features characters whose style and attitudes mirror content from our early issues. We’re excited to bring an element of authenticity to the game that is unmatched in the men’s publishing category.”
Mafia II is currently in development by 2K Czech, the same creative team behind the award-winning, genre-defining Mafia®, which captivated millions of gamers around the world. By fusing high-octane gunplay with white-knuckle driving and an engaging narrative, Mafia II looks to be the industry’s most compelling Mafia title to date.
