Upstage the Competition with CM Storm’s New Enforcer Chassis

Sydney, Australia:  18 April 2011 – CM Storm’s Enforcer is a bold new LAN deployable addition to the Storm lineup. It is a compact, featured packed, mid-tower solution for enthusiasts and budget conscious gamers. It comes as the first mid-tower to include native support for GPU cards like the AMD Radeon HD 6990 and the NVIDIA GTX 590, large CPU coolers, two 200mm fans, one 120mm fans, and USB 3.0. The CM Storm Enforcer changes everything with its speed, stealth and guile. All of which open up doors containing. With all of its offerings, it provides limitless possibilities.

Design Inspiration
The CM Storm Enforcer draws from a design that is reminiscent of a futuristic or even a biological armor. It focuses on cleaner lines that still preserve an aggressive styling worthy of the CM Storm name. A nearly full-length side panel window allows users to show off their liquid cooling, custom wiring, and cable management with pride. This is accompanied by an interior coated entirely by a high quality black finish.

Superior Cooling Performance
Two 200mm (one included) and one 120mm fans are supported to provide plenty of airflow to remove heat from system components. Utilise each 200mm fan space to its full potential by installing two optional 120mm fans that will help remove the maximum amount of system heat while working at full load. To ensure that the cooling system runs flawlessly, dust filters have been strategically placed on fan inlets to prevent particles from entering the system. Experience less downtime with easily removable filters; allowing for quick maintenance. The front door and filtered lower mesh both assist in minimizing the amount of dust or other debris that can access the system.

Liquid Cooling
Large rubber grommets support tubes routed from an externally mounted 2 x 120mm radiator. Enthusiasts will enjoy that the 2.5” hard drive cage has pre-drilled holes to allow users to mount a liquid cooling pump. The rear exhaust has also been customized to allow ample space for all-in-one liquid cooling kits.

Lightning Fast USB 3.0
It is no longer constrained by a bulky pass-through connector. The CM Storm Enforcer is the first in its class to offer an internal Super Speed USB 3.0 connector which enables convenient access to the newest standard in speed. It comes ready to connect to the latest Intel and AMD chipsets and features two front panel USB 3.0 connectors.

Modular Interior Features
The interior supports up to a massive twelve 3.5” and/or 2.5” devices. The upper portion of the hard drive cage is removable and 90 degree rotatable. Several options become available when the hard drive cage is detached. The 2.5” hard drive cage can be relocated to the top of the fixed 3.5” hard drive cage on the bottom. The newly freed up space allows long graphics cards such as the AMD HD6990 and NVIDIA GTX 590 to fit with no problem.

Cable Management
To assist in smarter and cleaner cable routing, many wire or cable tie mounts have been placed along the backside of the motherboard tray. To that end, several cable management holes have been placed throughout the motherboard tray to allow for the routing of cables directly to their intended destinations. In an effort to reduce installation times, all aside from the lower 2.5” hard drive cage are tool-free and use included locking mechanisms or trays. A very large CPU heatsink mounting hole has been placed in the motherboard tray to allow it to be compatible with more types of mounting solutions and motherboard layouts.

Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus 2012

Public Betas Now Available

2012 Betas Raise Bar for Protection and Performance,

Provide Insight Into Safety and Stability of Applications Before Installation

AUSTRALIA, Sydney – April 18, 2011 – Today Norton by Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC) released the 2012 beta versions of the award-winning Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security, which are now available for free download from the Norton beta website. The Norton 2012 betas improve on performance and protection in what are already the industry’s fastest and lightest security products[1]. They include key security enhancements, including the ability to assess the safety and stability of an application before installation.

“As we’ve proven year after year, we are committed to arming consumers against cybercrime with the strongest protection possible, without slowing down their computers,” said Jens Meggers, vice president of engineering, for Norton products. “For the Norton 2012 release, our aim is to continue to raise the bar for both protection and performance.”

With the 2012 betas, Norton continues to deliver the strongest core protection technologies, without sacrificing performance. The betas feature Insight 3.0, the latest version of Norton’s exclusive reputation-based security technology, which leverages the anonymous software adoption patterns of millions of contributing Symantec users to automatically identify and block new malicious software. Download Insight, which checks every downloaded file for safety before it is allowed to run, has been updated this year to include information that lets users know if a downloaded application is likely to cause stability issues when they install it on their PC. Now Download Insight provides users with additional data they can rely on before installing an application, to decide whether to install that application or look for a similarly safe, yet more stable application. The betas also include upgraded SONAR 4.0 behavioural protection, which monitors running applications for suspicious behaviour to quickly detect and disable previously unknown threats.

In terms of performance, the 2012 betas are designed to maintain or improve upon Norton’s industry-leading benchmarks in installation times, scan times and memory usage.

The Norton Internet Security beta features a revamped Norton Identity Safe, with a streamlined interface, improved login and form detection technology, and the capability to store passwords in the cloud so they are accessible from any computer with Norton 360 or Norton Internet Security installed. Both 2012 betas enable consumers to conserve bandwidth by postponing non-critical Norton activity to a later time, particularly useful for consumers with limited data plans.

The 2012 betas include an updated user interface, which offers quick access to the Norton Cybercrime Index, alerting consumers to online trouble-spots and potential hazards, including the day’s most dangerous websites, the most hijacked search terms by cybercriminals, as well as top scams, identity theft and spam. The free tool includes expert news about the most dangerous threat of the day and advice on how to stay safe online.

Beta Availability

The beta is available for free public download now at: http://www.norton.com/nis2012beta or http://www.norton.com/nav2012beta. Norton beta testers are encouraged to share feedback and discuss their product experiences in our online Norton Public Beta Forum.

You Can’t Escape “The Tunnel”! Horror Flick to Capture More Eyeballs with a Broadcast on Showtime Premiere

SYDNEY, April 18 2011…

There will be no escaping “The Tunnel” next month as the most talked about Australian horror flick will have its world TV premiere on Showtime Premiere, May 18 2011 at 10.35pm.

Directed by Carlo Ledesma, “The Tunnel” was shot entirely in Sydney and in many of its disused tunnels and features an all Australian cast. The movie follows a news film crew’s journey into the city’s mysterious underground hunting for a “story” before the “story” turns on the investigative team.

In 2007 the NSW government suddenly scrapped a plan to utilise the water in the disused underground train tunnels beneath Sydney. In 2008, chasing rumours of a government cover-up and urban legends surrounding the sudden back-flip, investigative journalist Natasha Warner (Bel Delia) led a crew of four (Andy Rodoreda as Peter Ferguson, Steve Davis as Steve Miller, Luke Arnold as Jim ‘Tangles’ Williams) into the underground labyrinth.

They went down into the tunnels looking for a story – until the story found them.

This is the film of their harrowing ordeal. With unprecedented access to the recently declassified tapes they shot in the claustrophobic subway tunnels, as well as a series of candid interviews with the survivors, we come face to face with the terrifying truth.

This never before seen footage takes us deep inside the tunnels bringing the darkness to life and capturing the raw fear that threatens to tear the crew apart, leaving each one of them fighting for their lives.

Distracted Media’s Enzo Tedeschi said” We are ecstatic Showtime Premiere has come on board to broadcast “The Tunnel” simultaneously to our DVD and online release. A very bold move and a courageous strategy yet it means we can continue to expand the audience of the film – we’re potentially set to reach massive numbers through the support of our partners who are believing in “The Tunnel” and our not so traditional approach”.

The movie first attracted worldwide attention for its unconventional crowd-funding and release model. Distracted Media’s Australian producers Enzo Tedeschi and Julian Harvey raised the film’s budget of $135,000 by selling each frame for $1 and opting to release the film via controversial internet piracy networks.

“The Tunnel” will be released on DVD and online globally on May 19 2011.

“The Tunnel” will have its worldwide Popcorn Taxi premiere the same night – hours before the Showtime Premiere broadcast – at Event Cinemas – Westfield – 500 Oxford St, Bondi Junction from 7pm. The Popcorn Taxi event will also feature an exclusive Q&A session with Enzo Tedeschi, Julian Harvey, Carlo Ledesma and special guest, Andrew Denton of Zapruder’s other films.

New exhibition asks: ‘Do you belong?’

A new exhibition at the Immigration Museum takes a mirror to our culturally diverse society and asks what it means to belong – or not – in Australia today.

Unlike any other exhibition in an Australian museum, Identity: Yours, Mine, Ours provides fresh and challenging insights into personal identity – who we are and how we perceive each other. Through objects, interactive multimedia displays and personal stories from Australians of widely diverse backgrounds, the exhibition asks: what does it take to feel like you belong in Australia?

A recent survey by the University of Western Sydney has found that 41% of Australians feel that Australia is weakened by people of different ethnic origins sticking to their old ways, while 12% of Australians are prejudiced against other cultures. Overall, the survey found that 84% of Australians believe there is racial prejudice in this country.

How we perceive ourselves, and the ways in which we feel connected to one another, are critical in creating a cohesive society. Focusing on the things that make up our sense of who we are – ethnicity, ancestry, language, spirituality and citizenship – Identity looks at how we view people around us and what we make of those all-important first impressions.

Prominent Australians such as Collingwood footballer Harry O’Brien, chef and restaurateur Jacques Reymond and food personality and MasterChef finalist Poh Ling Yeow feature in the exhibition, reflecting on the unique experiences, cultural heritage, and beliefs that make them who they are.

“Identity is everybody’s story”, says Moya McFadzean, Lead Curator. “No matter where we come from, or what our life is like, defining our identity is vital to understanding ourselves and how we fit into the world around us.”

“This exhibition explores the diverse identities that make up today’s Australia, and challenges visitors to examine their own assumptions and confront their everyday prejudices about cultural diversity”.

One of the aims of Identity is to challenge visitors to be self-aware. As they enter the exhibition, a new video installation by world-renowned artist Lynette Wallworth will confront visitors with images of people who will make them feel welcome – or let them experience what it’s like to feel very unwelcome.

In another key exhibit, visitors will enter an immersive multimedia presentation in which they will find themselves on a tram and witness to an act of racial intolerance. By watching the episode through the eyes of the victim, the perpetrator and bystanders, visitors will be encouraged to reflect on how they might react if they found themselves in a similar situation.

Central to the exhibition are more than 30 personal stories told by individuals from diverse communities across Victoria, ranging from young female soccer players and Congolese-Australian dancers to a Vietnamese-Australian theatre performer and a Wathaurong photographer. In different ways – through creativity, connecting with cultural heritage, joining community groups or gaining citizenship – each story tells how individuals found their own sense of identity and belonging.

Visitors will leave Identity feeling inspired to stand up for diversity and against prejudice in all its forms, taking with them an understanding of the many and varied identities that make up our nation today.

Identity: Yours, Mine, Ours

Immigration Museum, 400 Flinders Street Melbourne

From 11 May 2011

Adults $8, children and concessions FREE

The Immigration Museum acknowledges the support of VicHealth and Perpetual in the development of this exhibition.
