Kingston Digital Transforms iPad, iPhone and iPod touch Storage Capabilities

Sydney, Australia: August 1, 2011 — Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the sleek and functional Wi-Drive will arrive in the Australian and New Zealand market, August 8, 2011 and will be available through Kingston’s channel of authorized distributors, resellers and retailers.

Built to address the ever-increasing storage needs of Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users (www.kingston.com/flash/wi_drive.asp), Wi-Drive, a wireless, portable storage solution, allows users to expand the number of documents, images, music and video files they can access from Apple devices.

With its built in Wi-Fi signal, Wi-Drive allows users to stream movies, listen to music, and view pictures or documents by utilizing the Wi-Drive App, available for free in the App Store SM. These files are then easily retrieved via Wi-Drive’s built-in wireless signal without requiring cables or an Internet connection. Three users can work simultaneously with different file types from a single Wi-Drive without any performance disruption.

Flash-based memory technology found in Wi-Drive is more durable than traditional platter-based hard drives, and enables faster file accessibility. It is also extremely portable, weighing only 86.18 grams — less than a pack of playing cards.

“Wi-Drive is an ideal solution for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users who feel confined by their current storage capacity,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “Wi-Drive allows Apple device owners to wirelessly manage document and media files, and choose to share them with others, while on the go for work or pleasure. This unique functionality, combined with the durability of a Flash-based device, will satisfy both casual users and the most discerning technophiles.”

How to use the Wi-Drive with compatible Apple products
To begin using Wi-Drive with any of the compatible Apple products, users simply drag and drop files from their PC to Wi-Drive via USB cable, similar to a typical USB Flash drive data transfer. Users then download the Wi-Drive application from the App Store before connecting the Wi-Drive to their device. A video with a demonstration of the solution is also available here: www.kingston.com/flash/wi_drive.asp

Canadians to Feel the Chill of “The Tunnel”

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA…July 29, 2011

Canadians are set to feel the chill of “The Tunnel” with the Australian horror film slated for a theatrical release on August 5, 2011 in the territory.

The recent deal between Australia’s Distracted Media and Canada’s Blackrock Films will see “The Tunnel” premiere in Vancouver cinemas over Canada’s profitable summer period.

“The team at Blackrock Films have been amazing.  The buzz for “The Tunnel” is building and we are already receiving interview requests from North American television shows.  This interest from the other side of the world is proving to be the icing on the cake for this unorthodox project”, said Distracted Media’s Enzo Tedeschi.

“We are extremely excited about releasing “The Tunnel” in North America for both theatrical and non theatrical release.  “The Tunnel” is a well crafted, keep you on the edge of your seat type of movie.  It’s a suspense-horror movie at its best, a rollercoaster of a ride” said President of Blackrock Films, Brad Kersch.

Michael Price, VP of Sales and Distribution for Blackrock Films said, “We’re very proud to have acquired “The Tunnel” to distribute across all platforms in North America.  We are working closely with the producers on the theatrical, DVD, VOD and television distribution release in Canada and the United States.  We feel “The Tunnel” is the perfect summer movie launch for Blackrock Films because of North America’s love for all things scary.  Especially dark and suspenseful films like “The Tunnel!”

Directed by Philippines born, Carlo Ledesma, “The Tunnel” first came to the attention of worldwide media based on its unique crowd-funding and distribution models – the movie’s producers launched the movie’s website, www.thetunnelmovie.net, with an innovative plan to raise the movie’s cash budget of $135,000 by selling a frame of the movie for $1 to the internet audience (the concept is based on a 90-minute film consisting of 135,000 individual frames) and releasing the film for free, online.

The film enjoyed simultaneous release across DVD as a 2-disc deluxe-edition, a PAY-TV broadcast and an exclusive theatrical run in Australia as well its digital release on earlier this year on May 18, 2011.  “The Tunnel” also made Australian movie history becoming the only domestic film to be available for download on the iPad platform.

About “The Tunnel”

“The Tunnel” is set amidst abandoned underground train tunnels beneath Sydney’s CBD. In 2008, chasing rumours of a government cover-up and urban legends surrounding the sudden back-flip, investigative journalist Natasha Warner led a crew of four into the underground labyrinth.

They went down into the tunnels looking for a story – until the story found them.

“The Tunnel” chronicles their harrowing ordeal. With unprecedented access to the recently declassified tapes the crew shot in the claustrophobic subway tunnels, as well as a series of candid interviews with the survivors, viewers come face to face with the terrifying truth.  This never before seen footage takes viewers deep inside the tunnels bringing the darkness to life and capturing the raw fear that threatens to tear the crew apart, leaving each one of them fighting for their lives.

PES 2012: The Season Begins October 14th

PES 2012: The Season Begins October 14th

KONAMI dates ‘most ambitious and advanced football game ever’

29 July 2011: Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it will unleash its eagerly-awaited PES 2012 title on 14 October for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and Windows PC, stating it is the most ambitious and advanced football experience ever.

PES 2012 goes further in giving the user total control than any other football title, offering AI innovations and gameplay additions that cover every aspect of real football. Central to PES 2012 is the all-new Active AI system which ensures that teammates work to close down space, defend zonally and hold their line to minimise attacking options. As such, as players defend, their colleagues will look to hold the defensive line and mark oncoming offensive support. Conversely, when attacking, the player will see that their teammates will make dummy runs, draw defenders, and work to give the player more options in attack.

Furthermore, the emphasis on the team as a unit is demonstrated with PES 2012’s ground-breaking Teammate Control system – a truly unique addition which allows the user to control two players at once, prompting runs or drawing defenders with one, while the other holds the ball up. Teammate Control works in two ways; with users pressing the right analogue stick in the direction of the player they wish to control. Support play is offered in assisted mode wherein users prompt a second player to make a timed run to cut inside or receive a ball, while total control is afforded by the fully Manual mode which gives the user complete freedom of movement of the second player.

Elsewhere, PES 2012 is equally full of new additions. Animation has been enhanced, while the overall presentation has also been refined. Managers can now be seen wandering the touchline, while the general atmosphere of a big-match day has been faithfully recreated. In terms of gameplay, shooting movement and reactions are much improved, control is no longer totally lost when losing possession of the ball, a return to the classic ‘behind player’ penalty system, and one-on-one situations offer greater control as defenders press and jostle to win the ball, and attackers use upper body feints and movements to bypass and wrong-foot their man.

PES 2012 also continues KONAMI’s close relationship with UEFA that sees the PES series as the exclusive home of the UEFA Champions League™, UEFA Europa League™ and UEFA Super Cup™ video game licences. Attention to detail within these key tournaments has been extended to the match officials, and PES 2012 will see referees and their assistants now sporting the official UEFA Champions League™ uniforms.

PES 2012 is a massive advance for the football genre, truly the most ambitious and advanced football game ever” claimed Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “The additions we have made in terms of Teammate Control, Active AI and Off the Ball Control and elevate the level of play to new heights. No other game allows users so much control over their team, and PES 2012 ensures that the days of gaps in defence and shouting at teammates to make a run are long gone. This is a very exciting time to be a PES fan, and we are delighted that we can set a firm date for football fans to mark in their calendars.

KONAMI will detail the release dates for Wii, PlayStation®2 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) versions of PES 2012 shortly.
