Ubisoft And Demiurge Studios Take Aim With Shoot Many Robots

Sydney, Australia – August 23, 2011 – Today, Ubisoft® and Demiurge Studios announced a joint partnership to help stop the robot apocalypse in Shoot Many Robots™. Developed by Demiurge Studios and published by Ubisoft, Shoot Many Robots will be released on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network and Windows PC in 2012.

Unstoppable Gorg: First Screenshots (PC, XBLA, iPad)

Futuremark Games Studio and Headup Games proudly presented Unstoppable Gorg, a thrilling new space defense game, to assembled journalists at the Gamescom international games fair last week. For the world’s press unable to attend, the studio has declassified and published new screenshots and gameplay details demonstrating the game’s innovative mechanics.

Unstoppable Gorg is a thrilling space defense game inspired by vintage sci-fi films from the 1940s and 50s. The game builds on the core tower defense mechanics that fans love while breaking the genre’s conventions to create a more interactive and exciting experience.

Unique orbital layout

Unstoppable Gorg does away with the XY grid layout used in other tower defense games. Instead, a level typically has a space station in the middle surrounded by a number of orbital rings on which you place your satellites. This orbital layout is unique to Unstoppable Gorg.

You can move your towers

Unlike other tower defense games, in Unstoppable Gorg you can move your satellites even after you place them by rotating the orbits. This ability lets you react to each new wave, repositioning each ring of satellites to create the best defense against each attack. Rotating an orbit is as easy as dragging your mouse or finger and makes the game much more interactive than other tower defense games.

Fight Crime in Batman: Arkham City with the Batarang Controllers

Bluemouth today announces it will distribute Batarang controllers for Batman Arkham City. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and based on DC Comics’ core Batman property, Batman: Arkham City is published worldwide by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Batman fans will revel in the authenticity of the design of the Batarang, while gamers will appreciate the comfort and performance of to these one-of-a-kind controllers.

Both officially licensed Batman: Arkham City controllers for the PS3 and Xbox 360 include LED illumination effects with the ability to switch between seven built-in colours, dual rumble motors and comfort rubber, soft-touch grips.

The Xbox 360 version also includes an Xbox Guide button, and a wired 10ft / 3m cable. The centre bat buttons (from left to right) are: back, LED colour select and start.

The wireless PS3 version also includes motion sensing technology, an internal rechargeable battery, a Batman-themed USB RF receiver and 6-foot USB charging cable. The four lights on the left side of the PS3 controller shows the remaining battery charge, the four lights on the right show which channel the controller is using. Smart Power Meter Board

The LASER Smart Power Meter Board helps consumers save money and reduce carbon output by effectively managing electricity usage.
