To compliment the single-player experience, EALA has enlisted the multiplayer expertise of EA Digital Illusions CE AB. Lost Planet 2

Rathalos Armour on its way!

A few weeks ago it was announced in Japan that a Monster Hunter skin for Lost Planet 2 would be included as one of the game’s many ways to customise your characters. A PlayStation 3 exclusive and originally only planned for the Japanese release, we are pleased to confirm that the Rathalos Armour will now also be available to western gamers as a free download. This PlayStation 3 exclusive is scheduled to go live on PSN in late May.

Lost Planet 2 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will release across Europe and North America on May 11th.

Star Trek Online Loyalty and Recognition Programs, Including Veteran Accounts, Referral Program, Winback and Free Demo, Set to Launch in May 2010

New York, NY (April 30, 2010) – Atari, one of the world’s most recognized videogame publishers, and acclaimed developer Cryptic Studios™, are pleased to announce a range of new reward programs for Star Trek Online, the massively multiplayer online game for the PC. The Star Trek Online Veteran Rewards program delivers exciting perks and rewards to our loyal Star Trek Online community. For every 100 days of playtime logged, players can collect rewards including new titles, ship and ship slots, boosts, costume pieces, character slots and more. Of course, Lifetime subscribers will also receive all Veteran rewards as they reach each 100-day milestone.

The Star Trek Online Referral program rewards users who successfully refer a friend to Star Trek Online. When a player successfully refers a friend, he or she will receive the title of Courier, a unique Tribble and non-stacking skill points for your Captain and Officers. When a referred friend subscribes to Star Trek Online, the referrer will receive an additional title of Recruiter, a unique holographic bridge officer and 400 Cryptic points! The Star Trek Online Winback Weekend gives former players a chance to revisit the Star Trek Online universe and enjoy exciting new content. Users with a valid Star Trek Online retail account, but no current subscription, can log-in with their existing characters and play free for the entire weekend. First Winners Announced in World’s Richest Casual Game Developers Competition

– Fizzy.com has announced the first winners in its $100,000 developers competition

– Flash game developers share first quarter prizes of $7,000

3RD Sense, which operates the successful play platform Fizzy.com, has announced the winners in the first quarter of its ‘Biggest Game of 2010 Competition’. The competition, which runs for the duration of 2010, is offering a total of $100,000 worth of prizes for the casual Flash games that generate the highest revenues on Fizzy.com.

Extreme Earth Fighter grossed the highest revenue on Fizzy.com in the first quarter of 2010 (January – March), winning its developer, Saikat, $US5,000. It just out-performed the second place getter, Sonic Speed Spotter, from Difference Games who received $US1,500. In third place was Witch in 60 Seconds from Icegamer, winning $US500.

‘The Biggest Game of 2010 is proving to be highly competitive amongst our developers,’ said Colin Cardwell, CEO of 3RD sense. ‘The first quarter has seen over 250 new developers join the Fizzy.com Game Developer Network and we’ve had over 285 new games submitted since the competition began.

The Biggest Game of 2010 Competition is believed to be the richest casual game developer competition ever held. The game that generates the highest revenues throughout the whole of 2010 will win $US50,000. The second place getter will win $US15,000 and third $US5,000. Quarterly prize winners will share in $7000 worth of prizes.

‘We’re aiming to give Flash game developers a platform to publish and profit from their online Flash games,’ said Cardwell. ‘In addition to the competition, we offer a 50% revenue share to developers, one of the most generous revenue shares available.’

Saikat, the first place winning developer, on being congratulated on his win said, ‘Fizzy.com’s developer program is great for Flash Game developers. The ecpm offered by Fizzy is outstanding, the Fizzy API is very easy to implement and support is very good.’

The Fizzy.com Biggest Game of 2010 Competition continues throughout 2010. Quarterly winners will be announced throughout the year and the overall winner announced early in 2011.

In MySims SkyHeroes, players take to the sky to lead the resistance against Morcubus and his drone army and to stop his plans to take over the skyways. Starting as an unknown pilot, players fight to become a celebrated hero as they defeat dangerous enemies in aerial combat, test their reflexes in fast-paced speed challenges and take on massive enemy bosses that demand all their skills as a pilot to survive.

As they progress, players build, customise and tune their aircraft to give them an edge in combat – upgrade wings for swifter maneuvers, switch out the engine for a speed boost, or change the paint job to camouflage the plane and avoid enemy fire.

The popular MySims franchise, which has sold over 8 million units worldwide, will debut for the first time on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with MySims SkyHeroes. Expanding to these new platforms, the game will feature a full solo campaign, as well as local split-screen and online multiplayer where fans will be able to fly with or against up to 10 friends in – cooperative or competitive modes.
