Action Figures to Arrive at Retailers Summer 2013

Sydney, Australia – February 8, 2013 – McFarlane Toys in partnership with Ubisoft has announced a licensing agreement to bring Assassin’s Creed®, one of world’s most successful video games franchises, to store shelves.

McFarlane Toys’ Assassin’s Creed series 1 will consist of seven figures including the fan favourite characters of Connor and  Haytham Kenway. Connor will come as two action figures – one in his Assassin’s Creed® III traditional Assassins garb and the second, as Ratonhnhaké:ton in the upcoming “Tyranny of King George” storyline. Each figure will be sculpted in the hyper-detail the award-winning McFarlane is known for with collectors and fans.

The Assassin Creed figure line of figures will stand approximately six inches tall, include an average of 25 points of articulation, and will come with a unique code that unlocks exclusive Assassin’s Creed video game content!

McFarlane Toys will be displaying a first look of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed action figure prototypes at the International Toy Fair show, February 10-13, booth #4921.

Assassin’s Creed has grown to become Ubisoft’s fastest-selling IP of the current console generation. Initially launched in 2007, the first four Assassin’s Creed games have sold more than 40 million units worldwide, and the franchise is now established as one of the best-selling series ever. The fifth game, Assassin’s Creed III, launched in October 2012, and is now the fastest-selling game in the company’s history, with total sell-through topping the 7 million mark worldwide just one month after its release. 

Recognised for having some of the richest, most engrossing storytelling in the industry, Assassin’s Creed transcends video games, branching out into other entertainment experiences including comic books, Facebook games, novels, short films and more. The series celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2012, and an Assassin’s Creed feature film is currently in development.

McFarlane Toys’ Assassin’s Creed action figures will be available at major mass and specialty retailers in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia, Mexico and New Zealand.

Following the recent announcement of Capcom Arcade Cabinet it’s now time to lift the lid and reveal the full list of classic 8-bit titles and how gamers will be able to transform their PlayStation3 or Xbox 360 into their very own customizable, HD 80s arcade.

Starting February 19^th until early May, a total of 15 titles from 1984-1988 will be released on a staggered schedule available to purchase digitally either as a series of packs or individually, allowing players to choose what they want to buy. By purchasing all 15 titles, either separately or together, players will gain access to two bonus games absolutely free.

Downloading an individual title or pack will also give access to the Capcom Arcade Cabinet ‘platform’ which provides additional features including DIP switch functionality, a music player, and the ability to capture and share screenshots or video. When playing in standard mode, players will be able to access DIP switch-like settings to adjust their number of lives and difficulty, including a Casual Mode which tones down the difficulty level and makes it more attainable to see the end credits.  Further features include 2 player online play for certain titles; a global leaderboard; a training mode with infinite lives to hone your strategy and an option to select either the Japanese or international versions of the individual titles.

In order to share their experiences with friends, PlayStation 3 users will be able to capture video of gameplay to post on YouTube, while Xbox 360 users will be able to upload screenshots to Facebook. Further additions include a sound gallery that allows players to listen to the background music of any of the games in their cabinet, and an art gallery which fills with new pieces as players progress through the games.

Game Pack 1 and the first individual title, Black Tiger, will be available on February 19. Xbox 360 owners will be able to play through the game with a single credit before restarting. On the PlayStation 3, players will have unlimited credits effectively giving them the full game for free.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — February 8th, 2013 —Ubisoft has announced that its forthcoming title Rayman Legends, already announced for the Wii U^TM system from Nintendo, will also be released on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. All versions now will hit shelves in early September 2013.

Update 8.4 brings new tank destroyers into the limelight

7^th January, 2013 – Wargaming today announced first details of Update 8.4 for its armored MMO action game World of Tanks. The new content update will expand the roster of in-game tanks with an impressive array of new combat vehicles, including new tank destroyers for the British and Soviet nations, as well as new light tanks for the German tech tree.

The new release will allow players to get behind the controls of 10 of the finest British tank hunters, including the Universal Carrier QF 2, the most widely produced armored fighting vehicle in history, and the À39 Tortoise, a super heavy assault gun carrier designed to smash heavy fortifications and directly combat heavy enemy tanks.

“Update 8.4 will mark the second British invasion in World of Tanks, strengthening the nation’s tank choices with formidably armed tank busters,” said World of Tanks Producer Mike Zhivets. “This new line of ironclads will really showcase the ultimate evolution of the British tank destroyer design, from highly maneuverable gun carries to mammoth land cruisers.”

The Soviet tech tree will also be expanded with the massive and hard-hitting SU-100Y tank destroyer, ideal at taking on the heaviest of opponents. The German tech tree will see the introduction of three new light tanks.

Four in-game maps will be getting a visual and rendering overhaul in Update 8.4, including Steppes, Fisherman’s Bay, Ensk and Live Oaks. And, for players new to World of Tanks, the game will be updated with a brand-new tutorial covering tank controls, shooting mechanics, and basic combat tactics.
