CROSS FIRE RELEASES FREE “UNDEAD UPDATE” FEATURING CO-OP ZOMBIE MODE

Including Two New Maps, New Weapons and Items, a New Playable Character, and More! 

Toronto, CANADA – September 15, 2011 –G4BOX Inc., a North American publisher and distributor of interactive online entertainment media, released today the “Undead Update” to players of its free-to-play military shooter, Cross Fire. The free update features Zombie Mode, an all-new co-operative mode that pits players against waves of undead zombies, mutants, and monsters, in an epic struggle for survival across two new maps. The Undead Update also includes new weapons and equipment, a new playable character, and much more! Starting today, players can also complete in-game challenges to earn new ribbon achievements and free in-game items!  For current players, the Undead Update will download automatically upon launching Cross Fire. In Cross Fire’s new Zombie Mode, up to 4 players can team up to fend off waves of Undead Zombies, Mutants and Monsters across two new maps: the cursed burial ground of Unearth and the underground biochemical testing facility, Biohazard. Make it to the final wave and players will face off against fearsome boss monsters, including the hulking Goliath, and the winged predator, Nightmare. Beating the boss will earn players exclusive Zombie Mode items and equipment.

The Undead Update also delivers new weapons and equipment for use in regular modes, like the DSR1-Camo, a powerful assault rifle with a slick digital camouflage finish, the Bizon PP-19 SMG, and the Ruger MINI-14 lightweight semi-automatic. Players can also purchase the new L.A. SWAT character, a female version of the popular SWAT character, from the Cross Fire Item Mall. The Undead Update also introduces Hypomeds and Revival Tokens, health items that will help players stay alive longer in Zombie Mode.

MYSTERY CASE FILES: THE MALGRAVE INCIDENT

Put your detective skills to the test with Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident available on Wii 22 September. Play solo or team up with friends to play this hidden object adventure game.

When a man named Winston Malgrave contacts the Mystery Case Files detective agency, he claims to have made the scientific “discovery of the century” and invites you to his island.
As Master Detective on the case, you must use your powers of observation to find items critical to solving the case and learn more about Malgrave’s discovery—a mysterious and intriguing purple dust.

In order to solve the mysteries, you must explore the colourful and immersive landscapes of Malgrave Island. Along the way you will discover hidden object puzzles, where cleverly concealed items are scattered throughout a myriad of all-new and colourful scenes.

When you think you’ve found the item you are looking for, simply use the Wii Remote pointer to click on your discovery to tick it off the search list. But all is not as it seems. Some of the terms on the search list are intentionally vague so you’ll need to think laterally to find all the items.

If you get stuck or simply want to share the fun, why not call on your friends to help you solve the intriguing, brain-teasing mysteries? Up to three other players can drop-in and work together to find those sneakily hidden items. 

So keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you as you uncover the clues and solve the mysteries in Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident.

RAZER TO DESIGN THE ULTIMATE RRCADE STICK FOR THE XBOX 360 WITH THE COMMUNITY

Razer launches major closed beta program to encourage community feedback on the design of a highly-customisable arcade stick for the Xbox 360 

Sydney, Australia – September 15th, 2011 – Razer™, the world leader in high performance gaming hardware, just announced a program to co-develop the ultimate arcade stick for the Xbox 360® together with the arcade stick community.  The arcade stick, developed with pro-gamer feedback, is currently at the prototype stage.  For the finishing touches, up to 200+ specially selected top-seed Street Fighter™ IV pro-gamers, influential modders, and members of the arcade enthusiast community will each be given a Razer arcade stick to test and provide feedback to further improve it to perfection, whereupon the final design will then proceed to production. 

Since the company’s beginnings in ’98, Razer has continually taken pro-gamer feedback and validation during the product development phase to ensure that the design for every gaming product shipped is the absolute best for the competitive edge in tournament-grade play.  But in an unprecedented move in the gaming hardware space, Razer is now reaching out to the entire arcade stick community to help make this yet-to-be-named product the best arcade stick in the world.  Their feedback will be a huge influencing factor in the design of the final product.

Strong ‘Projections’ for future growth for BenQ Asia Pacific

Sydney, Australia, September 2011:  BenQ, a brand internationally renowned as a provider of digital lifestyle innovations, is now the No. 1 projector brand in India and Indonesia, and is ranked second in the Asia Pacific region overall, according to FutureSource Consulting’s Q2 2011 report.

In India, BenQ clinched the top spot as the No.1 projector brand with over 20% market share, and 26.5% QoQ growth rate in the second quarter of 2011.  In Indonesia, another fast growing market, BenQ has held the No.1 position now for four consecutive years.

FutureSource Consulting’s report showed that BenQ maintained second in the Asia Pacific regions with 12.6% of market share.  BenQ reached a top two position with a steady performance in the education segment with 21% market share and took out the No.1 position in the 3D segment.

“These achievements put BenQ forward as one of the most respected brands in the projector industry,” said Chee F. Chung, BenQ’s general manager for Australia.

“India is a very promising market, showing a 33% YoY growth rate in its total available market in Q2,” she continued.  “Indonesia is also a key emerging market in the Asia Pacific region.  Other global regions showing strong growth for our brand in the projector category include the Middle East and Africa regions,” she said.

BenQ’s success in Q2 was shared around the world with over 11% of market share globally.  In Japan, BenQ was the only non-Japanese brand ranked in the top 3 with more than 10% share of the market.  BenQ was also placed within the top three projector brands in 38 countries, including China, Japan, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
