Disney’s Planes – Australia’s Jessica Marais as “Rochelle” – In Cinemas September

Aussie Rochelle is the talented rally champion with a kangaroo painted on her side. Getting her start running mail to small towns in Tasmania Rochelle developed a knack for fast travel that ultimately inspired her to give air racing a try. Joining the cast will be Australia’s very own Jessica Marais as Rochelle, in a localised version of the feature for Australia and New Zealand.

From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. “Disney’s Planes” takes off in cinemas in September school holidays, 2013 and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select cinemas.

Sci-Fi Action Puzzle Game Droidscape: Basilica Out Now for iPhone / iPad

Stop-motion animation and revolutionary “HeadTwister” controls set this indie game apart

LONDON – July 30, 2013 – Indie developer Kyttaro Games makes their App Store debut today with Droidscape: Basilica, a carefully crafted action-puzzle game more than a year in the making. This sprawling sci-fi puzzler features 60 challenging levels, clay-modeled characters animated with stop-motion technology, intuitive touch controls, and an optional “HeadTwister” mode that turns the gameplay hands-free. The game can be downloaded worldwide from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/app/droidscape-basilica/id586086388

The year is 4057, and a power-hungry Ecclesiarchy has plunged humanity into a new Dark Ages. One of few remaining Chronomancers dedicated to preserving the secrets of time-travel has been taken hostage on the gargantuan Basilica space station, and if he dies, an already dark world will get a lot darker. Only a small, unarmed droid named Bishop 7 can save him — and only with your help.

In each of Droidscape: Basilica‘s 60 two-stage puzzle levels, players use strategy to plot Bishop 7’s course around roaming enemy droids to pick up gems, recharge at power stations, unlock doors, and reach the exit. Then, using either simple finger swipes or the revolutionary HeadTwister controls, manipulate time to carefully guide the droid through the course without crossing the enemy’s path. As you travel deeper into the massive space station, Droidscape‘s electropunk sci-fi world comes to life via stop-motion animation, futuristic music and sound effects, and a vast backstory presented in interstitial scenes between levels.

Still in its experimental stages, Kyttaro’s HeadTwister technology uses the front-facing camera of newer model iOS devices to replace a flick of the finger with a shake of the head. In this mode, players send Bishop 7 along the plotted course by turning their head right to step forward, or left to step back. The developers plan to refine the technology based on player feedback, with the ultimate goal of developing fully head-controlled games in the future. For those with older devices or who prefer a more tactile experience, the game is also completely touch enabled.

Droidscape: Basilica is a Universal App playable on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It sells for USD $1.99 (or its equivalent in local currency) and is on sale for USD $0.99 during the first week. The game’s HeadTwister mode can be experienced on iPad 2 and up, iPhone 4S and up, or iPod touch 5.

Two New Challenge Modes, Trading Cards and a Sale Arrive for Zeno Clash II on Steam

IRVINE, Calif. July 30, 2013 – Hot on the heels of the console launch of Zeno Clash II, the PC version will add two new challenge modes beginning on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. These new challenges will push players’ skills – and computer specs – to the limit. Also, players will now have access to the Zeno Clash II collection of trading cards, which can unlock Steam profile features unique to the game. Finally, Zeno Clash II is part of this week’s Midweek Madness Steam sale and the game can now be purchased for $7.99, but the special promotion ends soon. More details available at http://zenoclash2.com

Frame-rate Challenge Mode:

Sometimes the internet leaks into games and even Zeno Clash II can’t escape. In this unique challenge, surreal wireframe enemies begin spawning with increasing frequency. The enemies still require skill to beat, but the waves are only limited by one thing: the PC’s performance. Eking every last ounce of computational horsepower will be the key to surviving as long as possible in this highly unusual challenge.

Colosseum Challenge Mode:

This wave-based attack mode will push players to the limit. 50 waves of enemies will spawn, with increasing difficulty. True mastery of Zeno Clash II‘s first-person combat system of deadly combos will lead brawlers to victory, but there is some respite between rounds as players will have access to the store to buy weapons, power-ups, even allies. Unlike the game, there’s no restriction on the number of allies either, so get ready for the most intense, all-out, battle royale in all of Zenozoik.

Trading Cards:

Zeno Clash II is the latest participant in Steam’s new Trading Card system. Backgrounds, badges, chat items, and other Steam features unique to Zeno Clash II will be available to the dedicated players who unlock, bargain, trade and swap the Zeno Clash II cards to unlock badges and additional features for the game.

Zeno Clash II is on sale right now as part of the Midweek Madness Steam sale, and for a limited time is available for $7.99 — 60 percent off its usual price.

About Zeno Clash II

The story of Zeno Clash II picks up a brief time after the first game ends. Golem, whose true intentions from the first story were never made clear, imprisoned Father-Mother after Ghat’s final confrontation with him. But Father-Mother’s still faithful children, Ghat and Rimat refuse to let that happen. As they plot to save Father-Mother’s life, they end up on an adventure, which reveals far more about the world of Zenozoik than they were ever supposed to know.
