Fruitful cooperation with SEA Gaming helps Wargaming shift gears
15th November, 2012 — Wargaming, the award-winning online video game developer and publisher, is pleased to report steadfast growth across Southeast Asia as well as announce its direct presence in the region. Guided in its first steps into the regional market by SEA Gaming, a game publishing company based in Singapore and Malaysia, Wargaming gained valuable marketing expertise necessary to publish and operate Word of Tanks and its upcoming projects directly in that region.
The free-to-play MMO action game World of Tanks was published in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand in May of 2012. The thrilling PvP gameplay, convenient payment options, region specific localization and high-level customer support services enabled Wargaming to capture a solid share of the Southeast Asian market. The recent launch of a Singapore-based server group has drastically improved the gaming environment for players in the region and spurred the growing popularity of World of Tanks.
“It’s been a pleasure to assist a world-class company like Wargaming,” said Stephane Panyasiri, CEO of SEA Gaming Pte Ltd. “The partnership allowed us to leverage powers of each other for the combined benefit and reach considerable results in less than a year’s time.”
“We’d like to thank our partners, SEA Gaming, for their assistance in establishing our presence in Southeast Asia,” said Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming. “We stand firmly on our feet now and are focused on maintaining sustainable long-term growth in the market.”
A high-quality gameplay experience and smart strategic marketing concept secured a loyal Wargaming community that now includes more than 700,000 tankmen. The impressive growth in Southeast Asia creates great opportunities for Wargaming and the company places high priority on increasing its presence within the region.
About World of Tanks
