ASSASSIN’S CREED III “THE TYRANNY OF KING WASHINGTON” DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT EPISODES DATED

Sydney, Australia — February 7, 2013 — Ubisoft has  confirmed the release dates of all three upcoming episodes of Assassin’s Creed III The Tyranny of King Washington. This all new single-player experience will let players discover an alternate history of the events following the American Revolution.

–      Episode 1: The Infamy will be available on Microsoft’s Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Windows PCs on February 19 and on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on February 20, as previously confirmed.

–       Episode 2: The Betrayal will release on Microsoft’s Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Windows PCs on March 19 and on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on March 20.

–       Episode 3 : The Redemption will be available on Microsoft’s Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Windows PCs on April 23 and on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on April 24.

In the first episode of the Tyranny of King Washington series, our hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, awakens from an unsettling dream to find that, despite his efforts to deliver justice in the newly-founded United States of America, a new king has been crowned – George Washington. The Infamy will take gamers through the beginning of the journey to dethrone King Washington.

The three upcoming episodes of the Tyranny of King Washington are available through the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, which is available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $49.95 on the PlayStation® Network and Windows PC. Each episode of The Tyranny of King Washington will be available for purchase separately as a single DLC pack for 800 Microsoft points or $15.95.

All Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content packs will also be available on the Wii UTM through the Nintendo eShop.

Assassin’s Creed III is now available on PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and the Nintendo Wii UTM. For Windows PC gamers, the Assassin’s Creed III Deluxe Edition is available as a digital download and includes all future downloadable content.

New Iteration of Famous Action Series from Developer Team NINJA Is Packed with New Features, Brutally Tough Challenges, Additional Playable Characters, and Bonus Content

SYDNEY, February 7th 2013 – TECMO KOEI Europe today announced that NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE, the latest chapter in the famed action series, is coming to the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. In the Team NINJA-developed title, the enigmatic warrior Ryu Hayabusa must fight to lift a curse that threatens to destroy him.

NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE features additional playable characters, a new gameplay mode, a redesigned battle system with enhanced enemy AI, a robust Ninja Skills upgrade system, expanded online features including bonus content, and a host of other features. The game is scheduled to launch both at retail and via digital download on the 4th of April 2013.

NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE was designed from the ground up to satisfy core action fans with a redesigned battle system, improved enemy AI, the greatly reduced interactive QTE scenes, and the return of dismemberment. Even with severed arms or legs, enemies will fight on and players will find they have to change attacks on the fly to win brutally tough battles—the challenge level leaves little room for error. The Ninja Skills systems lets players use Karma earned in combat to freely purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, and costumes. Adding to the variety of gameplay, Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji all join Hayabusa as playable characters. Ayane will get her own chapters in Story Mode while all three female characters can be played in the new Chapter Challenge mode and Ninja Trials co-op play with multiple costume options.

Chapter Challenge mode is available with ten chapters including all-new Ayane stages. In this mode, players will compete for the highest score possible in each chapter of the story. Six brutal weapons are available to Hayabusa throughout the game, including the new Jinran-Maru & Blade of the Archfiend dual swords, Lunar Staff, and Kusari-gama. Additionally, Inferno, Wind Blades, and Piercing Void have been added as deadly new Ninpo. In the new Tests of Valor challenge, players who find Crystal Skulls hidden in each level will be transported to face off in skill-testing battles with familiar bosses from the NINJA GAIDEN series.

The online features in NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE have been greatly expanded, with all the previously paid DLC from NINJA GAIDEN 3 available as a bonus. The Ninja Skills upgrade system works online to let players use Karma to purchase 64 customizable features for the Unknown Ninja used in multiplayer Clan Battles. Supporting up to eight players, five brand new Clan Battle stages have been added. Players can use all of Hayabusa’s weapons and Ninpo in Clan Battles, giving them access to their favorite methods of attack. The number of missions in Ninja Trials has been tripled to a total of 100, and all four playable characters—Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi—can be used in this co-op mode.

Five Tips For Keeping Your Head While You Lose Your Heart

Melbourne, 7 February 2013.  Whether you decide upon flowers, chocolates or something a little more unusual as the perfect symbol of your affection this Valentine’s Day, make sure you take extra precautions when ordering online. That’s the advice being given by AVG Technologies AU who believe that as more and more expressions of love are being bought online, buyers’ heightened states of emotion may bring increased risks to their browsing computer or mobile device, and their online identity.

Michael McKinnon, Security Advisor at AVG, explains: “The kinds of emotions involved in Valentine’s Day preparations, whether love or total panic in some cases, can often cause people to act without their usual level of care. The danger is that we become so focused on the act of giving or receiving affection that we become less alert to the tricks of cybercriminals looking to prey on our vulnerabilities.

“Young or old, we all still love the idea of having an admirer. The consequence of this is that we are much more likely to accept an unsolicited Facebook friend request or email offer, if sent at the right time of year,” McKinnon continues.

Valentine’s Day is one the largest days of the year for retailers and a boon for online crime as cybercriminals try to take advantage of the increased activity to cause as much damage as possible. Viral posts through social media are the new spam email, as are Twitter worms such as “Are these pictures of you?” Invitations to download apps ‘designed’ for Valentine’s Day can be a trap, particularly if you accept them from free marketplaces. Spam and e-greeting cards also continue to be popular in the lead up to Valentine’s Day simply because they are effective at tricking people into clicking on malicious links.

Cybercriminals may also try to target unsuspecting users thanks to impulse message sending via unfamiliar sites and last minute gift purchasing. Enticements such as “Order online today for fast delivery using this special discount code” could solve your problem, as long as the fast delivery they’re promising is for flowers and not malware.

With so many teens and adults now browsing and shopping using small screened smartphones and tablets there are risks to online activity because you can’t always see the full web address. Criminals may add to the end of legitimate URL addresses taking shoppers to corrupt sites.

The same potential lies in QR Codes displaying Valentine’s Day advertisements. The danger lies not in the codes themselves but in what can lie at the other end. When you use your smartphone to scan a QR Code, you are taken directly to the site without its URL being displayed or you being asked first if you want to go there.

AVG’s five safety tips for sending and receiving genuine online affection are:

1. Pre-qualify those potentially dodgy email links, e-cards or QR Codes by activating link scanning technologies, such as those embedded in AVG anti-virus for Android that automatically detect malicious sites and halt the action before your phone or tablet becomes infected.

2. Whether using a home computer or mobile device, before entering credit card information to order your flowers, ensure you either recognise the URL or that it begins with “https” to confirm the site is secure.

3. When you’ve finished buying your sweetheart a sweet treat, consider cleaning the cookies on your computer so you don’t leave a footprint for the crooks.

4. While there are daily reports of ‘harmless’ social media pranks, Valentine’s Day provides additional avenues for bullies. Always log out and make sure you’re using a good password or passphrase so someone else can’t access your account pages.

5. Don’t break someone’s heart or bank account by unintentionally sharing a malicious link with friends – they can so easily go viral on Facebook and Twitter.

The latest instalment in the Castlevania franchise is exclusive to Nintendo 3DS  

7th February, 2013 – Following the recent distribution agreement between Nintendo and Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, Nintendo Australia announces that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate[D1]  is scheduled for release exclusively on Nintendo 3DS™ across Australia and New Zealand on 9th March 2013.

In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, you take on the roles of multiple characters from the Belmont family across different eras, each of whom has unique abilities and skills. Featuring a deep strategic combat system and a huge array of combos, you will explore immensely detailed levels and encounter enormous boss fights. The action takes place within a unique, atmospheric setting that features high resolution 3D polygon graphics, and side-scrolling areas that segue seamlessly into full 3D battles. 

The game takes place 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and reveals the story of Gabriel Belmont’s descendants, Simon and Trevor Belmont, as they battle their own destiny only to discover their true, shocking fate. Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, sets out to avenge the death of his mother by his father, who has returned from years of exile to take up residence in a mysterious castle. Gabriel Belmont, who is now the powerful vampire Dracula, has declared war upon the Brotherhood and the scene is set for a cataclysmic showdown between father and son.
