As Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows prepares to launch this summer for Xbox LIVE Arcade as a part of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and PC via Steam, Activision Publishing, Inc. and Red Fly Studio are shining a light on each of the varied personas that make up this formidable team of heroes in a half-shell. Today’s trailer goes behind the blue bandana of the Turtle-in-chief: Leonardo.

The oldest brother, Leonardo is the leader of the four Turtles – an accomplished tactician possessing a discipline and focus as sharp as his blades. His selfless sense of responsibility for the family sometimes puts him at odds with the headstrong Raphael, who too often only thinks of himself.

With a katana in each hand, Leo is the most well-rounded fighter in the Turtle roster, balanced by an unwavering dedication to his training. He is without a standout strength or glaring weakness, defined by a general aptitude for speed, reach, damage, and reactiveness, making him the easiest for novice players to pick up and play.

For his unique weapon upgrade, Leo joins his twin katanas together at the hilt, forming a twisting Blade Staff.

King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson by Fashion Designer Michael Bush Wins Gold Medal at the 2013 Independent Publishers Book Awards

Los Angeles, California….June 24, 2013…..The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson, authored by fashion designer Michael Bush who served as Michael Jackson’s longtime personal designer for 25 years has won the Gold Medal at this year’s Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY). The IPPY Awards, launched in 1996, were designed to bring recognition to the very deserving titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first awards program open exclusively to independents, the awards have been given to authors and publishers around the world since their launch.  This year’s IPPY competition attracted 3,650 entries in national categories, 1,150 in regional entries and 440 e-book entries.  The medalists represented 44 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, five Canadian provinces and eight countries overseas.

“Independent publishers are growing in number, and the quality of their work is increasing,” said awards director Jim Barnes. “One element driving the high rate of excellence is participation from university presses. This year, 29 medalists came from university presses and 9 came from museums. Their elevated level of writing, editing, design and production raises the bar and inspires us all.”

Winter events provide open access to everyone for a limited time

SYDNEY– June 25, 2013 – Ubisoft® has announced an opportunity for fans interested in the studio’s upcoming free-to-play PC title, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot to get a chance to get a sneak peek of the game during the recently-announced Closed Beta. Ubisoft will host a series of Open House events for the game throughout the Winter, which will allow players to jump in and experience the fun and excitement that is The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, first hand.

The first Open House event for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot will take place from July 3nd at 12:00am AEST to July 6th at 5:00am AEST. Players will be able to sign up for the free event from today to June 29th at 5:00am AEST by visiting www.themightyquest.com. By playing in the Open House, participants are entered in a draw to win a Mighty Quest t-shirt or a permanent beta key. Details about additional Open House events will be announced at a later date.

Each Open House will give players a chance to play as the boastful Knight, Sir Painhammer or the enigmatic Archer, Blackeye Bogart as they attempt to create impregnable castles to protect their treasure hoard while simultaneously attempting to ransack every other player’s castle.  While the first Open House event will only last 4 days, player progress, including gold acquired, loot found, character levels advanced, monsters unlocked and castle defences constructed will be saved and can be accessed at the next Open House.  In addition, all players who register for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot Open House events will be added to the exclusive Closed Beta list for a chance to earn permanent access to the game prior to launch later this year.
