TINKER BELL and the LOST TREASURE  on Blu-ray™ Hi-Def and DVD from 11 November 2009

In 2008 audiences around the globe re-discovered and fell in love with one of the world’s most iconic characters when Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment launched Tinker Bell, the debut film in the exciting new ‘Disney Fairies’ movie series.

Releasing on 11 November 2009, the enchanting pixie-dusted magic and fun continues with even more action-packed adventure, as Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure takes Tink far beyond Pixie Hollow in an original full length animated film on Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray +DVD) and standard definition DVD.

In the original Tinker Bell, fans heard Tink’s voice for the very first time, and through her fabulous fairy friends explored the world of Pixie Hollow. Produced by DisneyToon Studios, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is the highly anticipated second film in the continuing Disney Fairies Franchise and a captivating story that builds on Tinker Bell’s popular adventures through breathtaking animation, spectacular music and an all-star cast of voice talent.

In Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Tinker Bell’s greatest adventure yet takes place in Autumn, as the fairies are on the mainland change the colours of the leaves, tend to pumpkin patches, and help geese fly south for the winter. The rare Blue Moon will rise, and when its light passes through the magical Fall Scepter that Tinker Bell has been summoned to create, Pixie Hollow’s supply of pixie dust will be restored. But when Tinker Bell accidentally puts all of Pixie Hollow in jeopardy, she must venture out across the sea on a secret quest to set things right. Along her journey Tink meets new friends, including Blaze, a cute and courageous firefly who helps Tinker Bell complete her mission.

It’s a long and dangerous journey, full of astonishing encounters, a few narrow escapes and a daring rescue by Tink’s friend Terence. Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is an exciting adventure and a once-in-a-blue-moon experience for the entire family.

PLOT

Tinker Bell is thrilled – she has been selected to create the prestigious Autumn Scepter to commemorate the rare Blue Moon. Her friend Terence, while trying to help Tink, only gets on her nerves, which leads temperamental Tink to explode in frustration. Her angry words shatter their friendship, and in the midst of her rage Tink accidentally destroys the scepter’s fragile moonstone. To fix the moonstone Tink must embark on a perilous quest for the enchanted mirror of Incanta, but on this journey Tink discovers there is no greater treasure than a true friend.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is the all-new magical adventure that takes Tinker Bell beyond Pixie Hollow. Discover how the Pixies make their magic dust and let your imagination soar as Autumn comes to Pixie Hollow. Take off in a hot air balloon with Tinker Bell and her new friend Blaze, a lightning bug who lights her way, on an enchanting secret journey to find a new moonstone, the source of the Pixies mystical dust. But hold on tight as there’ll be amazing encounters, some close calls, and a daring rescue by her old friend Terence.

In her biggest adventure yet, Tinker Bell not only learns a lesson in responsibility, she discovers the true meaning of friendship. Along the way Tink reunites with all her fairy friends – including Rosetta, Silvermist, Iridessa and Fawn – and meets new friends, Terence, a boy fairy; and Blaze, a cute and courageous firefly; who help Tinker Bell complete her mission. From the creators of Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a captivating journey of self-discovery everyone will want to take.

FAIRY PROFILES – Tink’s new friends

TINKER BELL – A Tinker fairy

She is spirited, rebellious, impatient, impulsive, determined and persistent yet, always charming and loveable. She has a talent for tinkering, and when she is called on to save the day, Tink discovers the importance of her own true talents.

TERENCE – A Boy Fairy

Tink’s best friend from the Sparrow Men, Terence is a Pixie Dust Fairy, meaning he distributes the daily ratio of Pixie Dust to all fairies in Pixie Hollow. Terence tries to help Tinker Bell build the scepter which leads to her quest to find the Lost Treasure. Terence is an integral part of the adventure and friendship themes in the story.

BLAZE – A Firefly

Blaze is a young firefly; he’s mischievous, inventive and enthusiastic and uses his light as a flashlight, spotlight or SOS. Despite his diminutive size, he is courageous and supremely loyal to his friends. Blaze is part of Tinker Bell’s exciting adventure and they become friends who go on a thrilling journey together to find the Lost Treasure.

FAIRY PROFILES – Key characters

FAWN – An Animal fairy

This rascally imp is full of mischief and mirth – she loves to tweak Iridessa just to see her glow. Fawn is always ready to play and the more rough-and-tumble the game, the better.

IRIDESSA – A Light fairy

Dess is a detail-oriented perfectionist and chronic worry-wart. She tries to look on the bright side of things, but often senses disaster. As bright as her presence is, Iridessa is always trying to keep it together.

ROSETTA – A Garden fairy

Ro is a perfectly elegant and mannered fairy with a quick wit and loaded with charm. She eagerly gives beauty tips and make-overs to her friends and flowers, and always tries to look her best – as any perfect pixie would.

SILVERMIST – A Water fairy

Sil has a delightfully offbeat and upbeat way of looking at everything. She often listens to rumours from her babbling brook and she usually goes with the flow . . . but she can sometimes be a bit wishy-washy.

QUEEN CLARION

Queen Clarion is the symbol of Mother Nature for Pixie Hollow, a regal leader with a genuine love for her loyal subjects. She has a particular fondness for the spunky Tinker Bell, encouraging Tink’s inquisitive nature and helping to mentor the confused young fairy in her search for herself.

FAIRY MARY

Fairy Mary serves as mother hen to the tinker fairies, managing that group with a nurturing, loving attitude at every turn and encouraging Tink to accept who she is and embrace it.

CLANK & BOBBLE

The male tinker fairies Clank and Bobble take great delight in being the best they can be – and try to show Tinker Bell the intrinsic joys within their work. They just love tinkering – they’re constantly talking about it, constantly reflecting upon it, they even sing songs about it.

After the first backup, users’ files are backed up automatically every time they change or add a file.

My Passport Essential and My Passport for Mac drives also feature user-selected password protection combined with military-grade 256-bit hardware encryption, which scrambles files before they are stored. Aion and Blood Bowl at the Top of the Charts

Aion and Blood Bowl at the Top of the Charts

SYDNEY, Australia – September 30, 2009 – as QVS continues to take great strides in becoming the biggest independent gaming specialist in Asia Pacific, we are proud to announce that two of our biggest titles for the year occupy the number 1 and number 4 spots out of the top 5 ranked titles on the charts.

Aion and Blood Bowl have made the ranks in the top 5 of the UK charts. Aion’s first week of launch has hit Number 1 in both the Australian and UK charts and Blood Bowl at Number 4 and rising in its second week running. All other major brands that were launched on the same day are officially behind the 2 titles on the charts (Need for Speed: Shift; Batman: Arkahm Asylum; Resident Evil 5).

Blood Bowl has already been a big seller in Spain, Germany and France since its release in June and Australia is confident to see a very similar level of success when the game is released October 22nd. Blood Bowl being released on handhelds and PC, with a console version in the works, the title holds true to its tabletop counterpart, challenging players with a turn-based strategic romp that gives new meaning to the term ‘fantasy football’.

The team at Cyanide have done a fantastic job of accurately recreating the turn-based play mechanics of the tabletop game that will be familiar to Blood Bowl fans in Australia. It also delivers an exciting and new real-time play version of the game that will appeal to a wider audience that may not be as familiar with turn-based strategy titles.

Aion has also been a success, taking Asia by storm and has wowed hundreds of thousands of beta testers in Europe, North America and Australia. With cconsumer excitement and anticipation for Aion reaching massive heights in the lead up to the release date, nearly 450,000 copies were sold before launch! The game was constantly ranked among the top games on both Steam and Direct to Drive throughout the preorder period.

Logitech Unveils Mice that Work Where Others Fail

Logitech Performance Mouse M950, Logitech Anywhere Mouse M905 Feature Darkfield Laser Tracking – Letting You Use Your Mouse on Clear Glass and High-Gloss Surfaces

Sydney, Australia. — September 28, 2009 — Today, Logitech Australia takes the computer mouse where no mouse has gone before. With Logitech® Darkfield Laser Tracking™, you can use your mouse virtually anywhere you want – including clear glass (that’s at least 4 mm thick) and high-gloss surfaces. This new technology is available in the Logitech® Performance Mouse M950™ and the Logitech® Anywhere Mouse M905™, giving you the option of a full-size mouse or a more compact, notebook mouse.

Logitech research showed that 40 percent of people have a glass surface in their home. This coupled with the increase in the popularity of laptop computers, means that people are moving around and coming into contact with a multitude of surfaces – like granite and lacquered wood – that challenge the tracking capabilities of standard mice.

“Laptops have gained popularity in the last several years because of the freedom they afford – people today want to be able to connect to their digital world anytime, anywhere. However, until now, no mouse has been able to match that flexibility,” said Rory Dooley, Logitech’s senior vice president and general manager of the Control Devices business unit. “Thanks to Logitech Darkfield, whether you’re checking the morning news from the granite counter top in your kitchen or at work manipulating a spreadsheet from your glass desk, you can be confident that your Logitech mouse will be up to the task.”

Breaking the Glass Barrier

A pioneer in the development of the computer mouse in the 1980s, Logitech has enthusiastically driven nearly every major innovation in mouse technology – persistently refining this ubiquitous interface between people and their digital experiences. From laser tracking to hyper-fast scrolling to the Plug-and-Forget Nano-receiver, Logitech has dedicated itself to creating ways to help you get more out of your computing experience. The latest in this line of innovations, Logitech Darkfield, opens up new possibilities for when and where you can use your mouse.

Regular laser tracking technology relies on the ability of the mouse’s sensor to detect the textural details of the surface. The more irregularities a surface exhibits, the easier it is for the sensor to identify reference points that it can use to accurately measure motion. However, because high-gloss surfaces such as glass are almost completely flat, there are not enough details for a typical laser mouse’s sensor to detect.

To track on glass (that’s at least 4 mm thick), Logitech Darkfield uses dark field microscopy to detect microscopic particles and micro-scratches on these surfaces, rather than tracking the surface itself. Similar to the way in which our eye sees the clear night sky, the mouse’s sensor sees the clean areas of glass as a dark background with bright dots – the dust. Then, the sensor interprets the movement of these dots to track exactly where you’ve moved the mouse.

Logitech Performance Mouse M950, Logitech Anywhere Mouse M905

Because choice is important, this new technology is available on a full-size mouse as well as a more compact, notebook mouse. However, both mice are designed to put you in control of your digital world. Both models feature hyper-fast scrolling, so you can fly through long documents with ease, while click-to-click mode gives you more precision when navigating lists, photos and slideshows.

With the full-size Logitech Performance Mouse M950, you have the power to get the job done. The sculpted, right-handed shape gives you the comfort you need, while the flexible micro-USB charging system lets you recharge your mouse through your computer or a wall outlet – even while you’re using it. To make you more productive, four customisable thumb buttons put your most important controls – like application switching and zooming – at your fingertips. And, force-sensitive side-to-side scrolling (software enabled) – a first in any Logitech mouse – lets you quickly navigate around Web pages.

Thanks to its compact size, the Logitech Anywhere Mouse M905 works wherever you do and a travel pouch helps protect the mouse while in-transit. The contoured shape fits naturally into most hands and back and forward buttons, placed within reach of your thumb, help you surf the Web efficiently.

In addition to providing unsurpassed cursor control, both of the new Logitech mice feature the recently announced Logitech® Unifying receiver. The tiny wireless receiver stays in your notebook, so there’s no need to unplug it when you move around. Plus, you can easily add up to five other compatible Logitech keyboards and mice to the single receiver, including the recently announced Logitech® Keyboard K340, Logitech® Marathon Mouse M705 and the Logitech® Wireless Mouse M505.
