DISNEY MEDIA RELEASE
Relive the enchanting stories of your favourite Disney Princesses at the Disney Princess Magical Movie Month this August, showing at Hoyts, Reading, Grand, Ace and participating independent cinemas. The beloved Disney Princess films will be gracing the big screen for a limited time only with screening sessions each Saturday and Sunday from Saturday August 3rd until Sunday September 1st, 2013.
Themed “I Am A Princess”, the Magical Movie Month highlights that there is a Princess inside every young girl. But a tiara isn’t the only thing that makes her shine. Her inner light is what is so enchanting; the spark within that illuminates her generosity of spirit and her love of life. Today’s Princess is brave and determined, compassionate, kind, smart and strong. Of course, she still believes in magic. But this time the magic is of her own. The magic she believes in is within herself. And that is a fairy-tale ending we can believe in.
Join Disney and celebrate the Princess inside every young girl. All fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Disney Princess.

Cinderella (G) – August 3rd – 4th
Relive the beauty, romance and magic of Disney’s timeless fairytale Cinderella. Everyone orders Cinderella around: her cruel stepmother, her awful stepsisters — even the big clock in the church tower tells her when to start another day of drudgery. But they can’t stop her from dreaming, and Cinderella has faith that someday her wishes will come true. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, Cinderella is sure her time has come — until her stepsisters, with the encouragement of Lady Tremaine, tear her gown to shreds. Just when Cinderella believes all is lost, her Fairy Godmother appears, and with a wave of her wand transforms Cinderella’s rags into a gorgeous gown, then sends her off to the Royal Ball. But Cinderella’s enchanted evening must end when the spell is broken at midnight. It will take the help of her daring animal mice friends and a perfect fit into a glass slipper to create the ultimate fairy tale ending.
Aladdin (G) – August 10th – 11th
Aladdin, a thief on the streets, gets swept away when he collides with free-spirited Princess Jasmine in the tough streets of Agrabah. This “diamond in the rough” has no idea how life’s going to change when he’s convinced to go on a quest to retrieve a magical lamp. Once it is discovered that a Genie lives inside the lamp, Aladdin and his friend Abu decide to keep it for themselves. Genie grants Aladdin his wish to become a prince, but he soon realises that only by being true to himself, can he win the heart of Princess Jasmine.
The Princess & the Frog (G) – August 17th – 18th
The Princess and the Frog finds the lives of arrogant, carefree Prince Naveen and hardworking waitress Tiana crossing paths. Prince Naveen is transformed into a frog by a conniving voodoo magician and Tiana soon follows suit upon her fateful kiss with the frog prince who desperately wants to become human. With the help of a trumpet-playing alligator, a Cajun firefly, and an old blind lady who lives in a boat in a tree, Naveen and Tiana must race to break the spell and fulfill their dreams. A modern day retelling of the classic story The Frog Prince that will thrill a new generation of fans!
Tangled (G) – August 24th – 25th
Tangled, one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told. When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. Tangled is a story of adventure, heart, humour and hair—lots of hair.
