Nintendo announces that the much loved Donkey Kong™ Country series comes to Wii™ for the first time with Donkey Kong™ Country Returns available from 2 December 2010.

Retro Studios faithfully restores Donkey Kong™ in a new side-scrolling action game for Wii, with familiar  characters and new levels that will reignite the passion players had for the Donkey Kong Country series on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ (SNES). Featuring everything that made the original series great, from barrels to mine carts, and even the original music, Donkey Kong Country Returns brings the popular
series to Wii, but with levels created in fully rendered layered environments.
