Tickets to the latest Walt Disney Pictures high-tech 3D blockbuster, Tron Legacy: The IMAX 3D Experience, are now on sale at IMAX Melbourne Museum. See it in stunning IMAX 3D on the biggest 3D screen in the southern hemisphere from 16 December, 2010.
“You will be totally immersed in the IMAX 3D Tron Legacy experience and be transported directly into the fast paced, neon-trimmed Tron world,” said IMAX Melbourne Museum General Manager, Richard Morrison. “Tron’s amazing high-tech visual effects will look absolutely pristine on the IMAX screen.”
Set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen, Tron Legacy: The IMAX 3D Experience continues on from the 80’s cult movie where game programmer/hacker Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) gets trapped in a violent game world.
Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
The creators of the Tron Legacy Original Motion Picture soundtrack, Daft Punk, have just released the video trailer to their latest track from the album, Derezzed. Check it out here.
Tron Legacy: The IMAX 3D Experience includes the talents of Curious Case of Benjamin Button visual effects supervisor and Oscar winner Eric Barber and the talented first time producer Joseph Kosinski.
