From the most prolific and successful female producer in Germany, EROTIC TALES is back with more short films by award-winning directors. Each half hour story is conceived and filmed by a different director of international origin. 

EROTIC TALES are short stories of fantasy, sometimes spiced with humorous touches, and occasionally poetic or exotic. Moreover, this second DVD of the series features top filmmakers, directors and screenwriters who are intrigued by the possibility of making a personal statement on what they feel constitutes erotic today.

It also follows Alex, Petra and Lisa, three of the club’s young strippers. BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST

How did bridges evolve from tiny bamboo walkways spanning streams to super long suspension bridges connecting islands? How did buildings surge in stature from ground hogging town houses to cloud busting skyscrapers? This four-part CGI-driven series reveals the inventions that enabled structures to grow in size and scale. Each hour-long film unpicks the engineering evolution of a different iconic structure: Skyscrapers, Bridges, Aircraft Carriers and Airports. 

Each film opens showcasing the largest example of its kind and poses the question, ‘how did it grow so big?’ Rolling back the clock and winding down the scale, BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST reveals the seven inventions that allowed these structures to gradually grow supersize and the seven historic buildings they first appeared in.

COAST (SERIES 4)

COAST (SERIES 4) follows the remarkable runaway success of the previous three series. This new series will broaden COAST’s horizons even further. The eight programs continue to introduce the audience to fresh, untold stories around the UK’s shores, but this time also feature the coastlines of neighbouring countries, including France, Norway, the Republic of Ireland and the Danish Faroe Islands. 

The team of expert presenters also explores physical connections from a time when the UK land mass was at one with the rest of Europe, and also the linguistic and cultural connections forged by Viking traders and Norman invaders. As well as journeying to new shores, this brand new series also ventures into new cultural terrain, exploring how the sea has made an impression on the world of art.

KURU: THE SCIENCE & THE SORCERY

This fascinating documentary follows Australian scientist, Michael Alpers, deep into the jungles of Papua New Guinea, into a mysterious world of sorcery, cannibalism and tribal conflict. 

KURU: THE SCIENCE & THE SORCERY recounts, for the first time, the full story of one of the most incredible and challenging medical detective stories of the 20th century. It is the story of the Fore, a people immersed in a culture of cannibalistic practices and sorcery in one of the most remote regions on the planet, and the tragic disease that threatened to wipe out their entire population.
