SYDNEY, 5th October 2010: Sony Online Entertainment today announced that DC Universe Online will be coming to PC and PlayStation®3 gamers at the start 2011.
“SOE is dedicated to delivering the highest quality game experiences possible,” says John Smedley, President, Sony Online Entertainment. “DC Universe Online is the first game of its kind, and a truly massive undertaking — the first truly action-based MMO, the first MMO on the PlayStation®3, and the first time the entire DC Universe will be playable by the millions of fans who are eagerly anticipating its release. As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we’ll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date.”
SOE has also revealed new details regarding the beta program. Players with VIP key cards and early registrants will receive access on a priority basis starting as early as next week. As a special treat, gamers from PAL territories that have already registered for the beta will jump to the front of the queue when the wider beta opens on 30th November 2010.
Those wishing to register for beta have until 17.59 (AEST) / 07:59 (BST) / 08:59 (CET) 5th October. This is a general queue and does not assure access.
