BRISBANE, Queensland, Sep 10, 2010 — EB Games today announced plans to kick-off the highly anticipated Halo: Reach in a manner befitting the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time. EB Games Blacktown, Sydney, will be hosting the Official Halo: Reach Midnight Launch on Sept. 13 from 10pm. Hundreds of other EB Games stores across the country will also be opening for midnight launches.
At the Official Midnight Launch at Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, fans will be some of the first in Australia to play Microsoft’s revolutionary new Kinect system due out in November. The first 300 customers to come along with their paid in full receipt will also receive a show bag valued at $50. On the night there will be a personal souvenir photo opportunity as well as a DJ spinning some tunes. All Halo fans are encouraged to come along meet Master Chief, grab a slice of pizza and enjoy this exclusive launch event.
Hundreds of EB Games stores will open at 10 p.m. local time Sept. 13 to countdown to midnight when preorder customers will be the first to get their hands on the definitive installment in the epic Halo series. Customers should check in advance with their local store for exact times and details. Due to trade restrictions, selected Western Australian stores will be opening at 8am on the 14th Sept, for customers to be the first in the West to get their copy of Halo: Reach. .

Fans that preorder at EB Games before Sept.14, will receive an exclusive downloadable UA Multi-Threat Mjolnir Mark V(B) armor. Customers can also receive 50% extra trade value when they trade their old games towards their Halo: Reach preorder.
