Sound Alliance Group smashes online advertising sales records for November

Sydney, 10 December 2008 – Sound Alliance, the largest independent online entertainment publisher in Australia today outlined record growth during November for its youth-focused web communities. The Sound Alliance network of sites, including inthemix, FasterLouder, Mess+Noise and SameSame produced the most successful month of online advertising sales in the company’s eight year history.

Neil Ackland, Managing Director for Sound Alliance commented, “Online advertising for the entertainment sector still remains buoyant. We have achieved a 101 per cent increase in revenue for November 2008 when compared to November 2007. This roughly translates into three times the growth rate on average for the industry. These are strong results for our web communities and we expect the growth to continue as advertisers shift their marketing budgets to targeted and effective online channels.”

The future of online advertising for the youth-oriented entertainment publisher is looking extremely positive.  “The inthemix and FasterLouder sites are both entirely sold out for December,” concluded Ackland.

Ackland further attributed the company’s recent acquisition of the former Destra-owned site, Mess+Noise towards the revenue growth.

“We have had a lot of early success in attracting advertisers to Mess + Noise almost immediately following the acquisition. Our existing client base has reacted very positively to the site,” he continued.

The Sound Alliance network of sites produced the highest level of unique browser visits for a month with over 560,000* monthly unique browsers and 28, 454* average daily unique browsers.  The sites combined generated over 7.7* million page impressions.
