Paramount are going nuts in promoting the Aussie adaptaion of John Marsden’s young adult novel Tomorrow When the War Began.
First up is the announcement of the World Premiere of the film on August 8. This is the full press release:

ANNOUNCED FOR SUNDAY AUGUST 8th
Paramount Pictures is delighted to announce the feature film of John Marsden’s best-selling and much-loved ‘TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN’ will have its World Premiere in Sydney on Sunday 8th August.
The film’s stars – Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Lincoln Lewis, Deniz Akdeniz, Phoebe Tonkin, Chris Pang, Ashleigh Cummings, and Andy Ryan along with Director Stuart Beattie will walk the red carpet at Event Cinemas, George Street in Sydney.
The World Premiere kicks off a national publicity tour for ‘TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN’ including premiere screenings in Melbourne at Hoyts Melbourne Central on Wednesday 11th August and a Queensland premiere at The Australian International Movie Convention on the Gold Coast on Sunday 15th August.
Stuart Beattie, whose screenwriting credits include Australia, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Collateral, wrote the screenplay and will make his directorial debut on ‘TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN’.
Stuart Beattie said “I’m so proud and honoured to have been given the opportunity to bring John Marden’s incredible book to the screen. And I will be forever grateful to Omnilab and Paramount for supporting me and this movie from the very beginning right up through this extraordinary publicity tour.”
Paramount Pictures will handle distribution and marketing of the film in Australia and New Zealand. Principal investor Omnilab Media, through its production arm, Ambience Entertainment, has taken the first novel in the series, ‘TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN’ from page to screen.
