Sydney, Australia – 27th November 2008 – Today Ubisoft announced Imagine Ballet Dancer, a new title in the Imagine range for Nintendo DS™, to be released in Australia in early 2009. Designed for young girls aged from 8 to 12, the game will allow them to step into the flats of a young ballerina, and progressively make their way to being a world-class dancer.
On their way to fame, players will learn a wide variety of steps that they will then be able to use in their own choreographed routines. With the Nintendo DS™ stylus, they will perform their moves in practice and on-stage, and will have to demonstrate real dexterity to win the admiration of their audience.
Apart from determining what steps to include in the dance routine, players also have numerous customisation options, including choosing their outfits and accessories (over 130 available) as well as the music to which they will dance. The appearance of the ballerina can also be altered for increased realism and immersion.
In single player mode, girls will need to juggle school and regular social activities with ballet sessions. Moreover, they will be able to play with friends in 3 multiplayer challenges, using the Nintendo DS™ wireless communications capabilities, to try to impress with newly learned moves and steps.
With its high-quality graphics and its complete approach to ballet, Imagine Ballet Dancer promises hours of fun for young girls.
Other Imagine games available this Christmas include My Secret World by Imagine®, Imagine® Dream Weddings, Imagine® Interior Designer, Imagine® Champion Rider, Imagine® Gymnast and Imagine® Fashion Model.
