NCsoft, the world’s premier publisher and developer of MMOs, launches update 1.9 for Aion® in North America and Europe today, providing players with new solo quest content, daily quests and tactical gameplay through an array of new class skills. Aion 1.9 focuses on fine-tuning the game’s leveling experience and balancing class abilities across PvP play while also incorporating player-requested interface and ease-of-play improvements.
Just some of Aion 1.9’s key features:
- New Class Skills: Enjoy new class skills that round out each class’s capabilities: a new stun defense skill that can thwart devastating stun conditions (all classes) and from one to three other additional class-specific combat skills per class.
- New Zone Quests: New quests flesh out the spectacular and immersive world of Atreia. Defy new wily opponents and absorb more immersive lore in Eltnen, Theobomos, Heiron, Morheim, Brusthonin, Beluslan, and Reshanta.
- Daily Quests: Four new NPCs (two for the Elyos and two for the Asmodians) offer daily quests. Each day presents a new challenge. Turn in the rewards for weapons, armor, and titles.
- Increased Experience Point Gain: Rested characters now gain an experience bonus at level 15. This rested bonus increases between levels 30 to 45. For the casual player, a brand new experience bonus, Energy of Salvation, provides boosted experience from nearly every game activity.
- Increased Quest Rewards and Drop Rates: Quests now deliver more experience points and better money, underlining the value of Aion’s storyline and priming the in-game economy. Named monsters in specific game instances now award better game items more frequently when they are conquered.
In addition, players will be treated to improvements to the User Interface, new recipes and morphing books, new healing and combat stats, new crafting and extracting skill levels, reduced in-game costs and a multitude of other updates.
Aion 1.9 will be available on the live servers at 21:00 CET today, Wednesday 2nd June, 2010. The update is available to preload using the NCsoft launcher now.
