Powermat wireless charging for all your gadgets – in Australia from mid-April

One plug, one mat, many devices

SYDNEY, 25 March 2010 — The solution to every household’s problem with lost chargers and tangled wires is here. Powermat wireless charging simplifies your life with one plug and one charging mat allowing you to simultaneously charge up to three electronic gadgets wirelessly.  And it’s great if you’re going away on holiday or business – you only have to remember to pack your Powermat!

The revolutionary Powermat system delivers fast and efficient wireless charging for most portable electronic devices including iPods, iPhones, Blackberry, mobile phones, GPS and hand held gaming systems.

There’s a Powermat bundle to suit everyone.

Four variations of the Powermat Home & Office Mat and receiver will be available in Australia through Harvey Norman, JB HiFi, David Jones and selected Myer stores from 18 April 2010:

  • Powermat Starter Kit,
  • Powermat iPhone bundle,
  • Powermat Blackberry Bold9000 bundle and
  • Powermat iPod/iPhone bundle.

All bundles allow you to charge up to three devices simultaneously and include a USB port for a fourth device.

Smart RFID technology allows a ‘conversation’ between mat and devices. The mat transfers the exact amount power needed to charge your device and automatically switches off as soon as it is fully charged.

Powermat technology charges as fast as the adaptors which are supplied with the devices.

Powermat will retail at $199.95 (RRP) with additional receivers at $49.95 (RRP).

Powermat is what we’ve all been craving – a simple, uncluttered way to recharge the household’s gadgets.

Each mat comes with a custom adaptor with cord management; a USB port to charge an additional device; and charging activation/deactivation visual and audio confirmation.
