A MAGICAL ADVENTURE! – SHORTS – Available to rent and own on BLU-RAY for $49.95RRP and DVD for $39.95RRP from 31 March 2010.

Also available ON DEMAND and TO DOWNLOAD.

The family action-adventure Shorts arrives on Blu-ray and DVD this 31 March 2010 from Warner Home Video.  This magical fantasy is told through a series of interwoven tales that bring to life the sometimes wonderful and totally out-of-control wishes that become far more than Toe and his neighbours ever imagined.

Eleven-year-old Toe Thompson lives in a suburban community where his and everyone else’s parents work for Black Box Industries, makers of the do-it-all gadget that’s sweeping the nation.  But suddenly, the neighbourhood that Toe already thinks is weird is about to get a lot weirder when during a freak storm, a mysterious Rainbow Rock, which grants wishes to anyone who finds it, falls from the sky. As the Rainbow Rock ricochets around the town, from kid to kid and parent to parent, wishes come true and quickly turn the neighbourhood upside down in a wild rampage of everything from tiny aliens to giant boogers.

From Director Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids Trilogy, The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lavagirl), Shorts stars Jon Cryer (TV’s Two and a Half Men), William H. Macy (TV’s ER, Seabiscuit), Leslie Mann (17 Again, Funny People), James Spader (TV’s Boston Legal) and Jimmy Bennett (Orphan, Star Trek).

Shorts will be available on DVD for $39.95RRP and on Blu-ray for $49.95RRP.

Shorts will also be available to buy on 31 March 2010 as a Digital Download from digital movie retailers. It will also be available to rent ON DEMAND through internet movie retailers and a games console.

On 14 April 2010, Shorts will be available to rent on a pay per view and ON DEMAND basis through Digital Cable and Satellite TV.

SYNOPSIS

Eleven-year-old Toe Thompson is the designated punching bag for the bullies of the suburban community of Black Falls, where his and everyone else’s parents work for Black Box Industries, makers of the do-it-all gadget that’s sweeping the nation. But during a freak storm, a mysterious Rainbow Rock, which grants wishes to anyone who finds it, falls from the sky. Suddenly, the neighbourhood that Toe already thinks is weird is about to get a lot weirder. As the Rainbow Rock ricochets around the town, from kid to kid and parent to parent, wishes come true quickly and turn the neighbourhood upside down in a wild rampage of everything from tiny aliens to giant boogers.

The magical fantasy adventure “Shorts” is told through a series of interwoven not-so-tall tales that each brings to life the sometimes wonderful, often terrible, and totally out-of-control wishes that become far more than Toe and his neighbours ever imagined.
