In 2010, Top Designs celebrates its tenth birthday at Melbourne Museum with the theme ‘then, now and beyond’. Since 2001 more than 1,000 students have exhibited outstanding work in Top Designs which has proved an important stepping stone for their future careers in design.
Top Designs is a major component of the VCE Season of Excellence, managed by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. The exhibition features exemplary student design in a range of VCE studies: Design and Technology, Food and Technology, Systems Engineering, Media, VET Multimedia and Visual Communication and Design.
Works featured in the exhibition include: a Surfboard graphic design, Tribal Cocktail Frock, Variable Speed Control Spit Roast, War against the Veggies game, as well as a range of Short films, animation, print layout and photography.
Students from schools around Victoria are available for interviews and there are images available of some students and their works.
