GCAP Just Three Days Away!
MELBOURNE – Thursday 3 December, 2009 – The Asia Pacific’s premier game developer event is just three days from opening. GCAP kicks off in Melbourne on Sunday, with a Keynote presentation from Vicarious Visions Creative Director Tim Stellmach, to be followed by the Epic Welcome Party.
David Jaffe will appear via video link on Monday, with an additional Keynote presentation on Tuesday from Justin Halliday, formerly of Transmission Games.
Other conference highlights include appearances by Yahtzee and by recent Indie Award winner Farbs. A CEO panel will reflect on the state of Australian game development industry, while a Publisher panel boasts international representatives from Activision and Disney.
The gala event of the show is the annual GDAA Awards Dinner, hosted by Autodesk, during which the best of the local industry will be honoured for the achievements. The Indie Awards will also be presented, in what looks set to be the most closely contested Indie competition ever.
GCAP 2009 also features half-day forums on Education and Games for Health and regular appearances from ABC TV’s Hex and Bajo.
