FIFA ’10, MADDEN ’10 NFL, TIGER WOODS PGA AND NBL LIVE ’10 TO BE AVAILABLE ON MOBILE
October 07 2009, Australia – Electronic Arts has announced the launch of four new sports titles for iPhone and iPod Touch, including FIFA ’10, Madden ’10 NFL, Tiger Woods PGA and NBL Live ‘10, set to see the sports season go mobile for avid supporters.
“Australian’s love of sport can continue over the off-season with a range of new exciting titles launched on iPhone and iPod Touch on 8 October”, said Mark Fordham, marketing manager, EA Mobile.
“From soccer and football to golf and basketball – the new titles will be sure to keep sports lovers busy for hours, whether they are passing time, lying on the beach or waiting for lunch,” he finished.
FIFA ’10 is the latest instalment in the FIFA franchise. With a huge improvement in graphics, numbers on jerseys are always visible and there is an option for a fully zoomed instant replay of exciting moments. By slowing the game down by ten per cent in FIFA ’10, it is easier to get the ball off your opponent and subsequently keep it. A handy tutorial at the beginning takes you through all the moves you can perform on the field. There are several different game modes including manager, be a pro, tournament, penalty shoot-out and training.
Madden ‘10 NFL is perfect for football fanatics, including real players from the America’s gridiron 32-team roster – the only game to offer all licensed teams. Gameplay allows you to draw the receiver’s hot route on screen for a strategic gameplay experience. Madden is the perfect opportunity for Australians to try their hand at gridiron following the hype of the AFL and NRL finals.
Tiger Woods PGA is the ultimate in mobile golfing. With a highly tuned touch and drag swing meter, your swing can be made amazingly precise. Simply touching the screen can also alter Ball spin and direction. There is the opportunity to play as Tiger Woods or against him and four other professional players as you play on seven real-life courses such as Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. Gameplay achievements are rewarded with official ‘Bragging Rights’. Commentary by Sam Torrance and Kelly Tilghman will also provide feedback on each shot played.
NBL Live ‘10 brings all the fully licensed NBA teams to your mobile phone with five-on-five basketball simulation. There is the opportunity to play season basketball, play-offs or exhibition modes. There are also 30 un-lockable legend players including Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The full 3D player and court graphics place you in the middle of the playing stage – whether playing an important match or shooting some practice hoops.
