Celebrity Chef Tobie Puttock announced as Australian Ambassador for the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is proud to announce Tobie Puttock as its Australian Ambassador for the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – available from 14 October 2009 on Diamond Editon 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack and 2-Disc DVD.

International award-winning chef Tobie Puttock began his career working in Melbourne’s Caffe e Cucina before travelling to Italy and eventually England where he began working at the world famous River Café with great friend Jamie Oliver.

Returning to Australia in 1999, Tobie has since spearheaded the Fifteen Restaurant and Foundation in Melbourne, Australia, and is thrilled to bring his culinary skills as an ambassador for the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, developing unique and exclusive apple-themed recipes for the family inspired by the iconic film.

“Disney movies are classics, especially Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – who can forget the iconic apple scenes in the movie between the Queen and Snow White,” Tobie says.

 “I’m honoured to have been invited by Disney to create some unique apple-themed recipes to help celebrate the launch of this wonderful classic,” he says.

Busy in the kitchen in the lead-up to the Snow White launch, Tobie has created a number of apple-themed recipes fit for a Disney Princess, including:

  • Grumpy’s Baked Breakfast Apples stuffed with Granola, Raspberries and Dates;
  • The Fairest of Them All – Snow White’s Traditional Apple Pie;
  • Heigh-Ho Christmas Apple and Cinnamon Loaf;
  • Chicken roasted with Apple and Sage fit for a Princess; and
  • Diamond-cut Chocolate and Apple Brownies.

 Celebrated as a landmark in entertainment for over 70 years and the first full-length animated film ever made, Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is still the ‘fairest of them all” and a major milestone for the world of animation. Presented with a 1939 honorary Academy Award®, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has charmed generations and remains of the most beloved and watched films in movie history.

In addition to enhanced sound and vision, the remastered Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Diamond Edition 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack and 2-Disc DVD boasts spectacular bonus features, including deleted scenes; Dopey’s Wild Mine Ride game; Disney through the decades; Snow White Returns; Heigh-ho sing-along and karaoke; and a sneak peek of The Princess and the Frog..
