September 22, 2009 – Harmonix, MTV Games, and distribution partner Electronic Arts Inc., today announced the The Beatles: Rock Band – Two Microphone Pack for PS3™, combining The Beatles: Rock Band, the most critically-acclaimed music game of the year, with two SingStar microphones from Sony’s leading interactive singing experience franchise.
With an extraordinary catalogue of 45 tracks available, The Beatles: Rock Band – Two Microphone Pack for PS3™ will allow players to enjoy multi-part harmonies in a way never before experienced within a music game through an unprecedented, experiential progression of the music and artistry of The Beatles.
The Beatles: Rock Band – Two Microphone Pack for PS3™ will be available in Australia beginning 1 October 2009 for a suggested retail price of $119AUD.
Additional music from The Beatles’ epic catalogue will be made available for purchase and download through The Beatles: Rock Band Music Store. Abbey Road will be released on October 20, 2009, followed by the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in November and Rubber Soul in December.
The Beatles: Rock Band celebrates the music and artistry of the Fab Four allowing fans to sing along to 45 songs on-disc or pick up guitar, bass, or drums and experience the cross-section of hits and favourites by The Beatles through game play that takes players on a journey through the legacy and evolution of the band’s legendary career.
The Beatles: Rock Band is available for PlayStation®3, the Xbox 360®, and Wii™ and is compatible with all Rock Band™ instrument controllers, as well as most Guitar Hero® and other authorised third party music video game peripherals and microphones.
