Plastic Wax takes top honours at annual Australian Effects and Animation Festival
Two top awards presented to industry-leading animation and design studio.
Sydney, Australia – September 5, 2013 – Plastic Wax, acclaimed Sydney-based animation studio behind pre-rendered and in-engine content for games and film, took top honours at the 2013 Australian Effects and Animation Festival (AEAF) Awards.
This year, Plastic Wax took out a prestigious ‘Gold’ award in the category of Game Cinematics for their work on the critically acclaimed Disney’s Epic Mickey video game. The studio also received a ‘Silver’ award in the TV Titles and Openers category for their 2013 Channel Nine NRL Opener.
The annual AEAF awards are chosen by a panel of industry-leading animation and effects professionals who reviewed all submissions in each category.
On Plastic Wax’s major wins this year, Plastic Wax EVP Dane Maddams said, “The AEAF awards do an incredible job of highlighting the amazing talent within the Australian visual effects and animation industry.
