Real Tanks and Spoils of War Await Australian Gamers
June 28, 2013 — Wargaming, the leading free-to-play developer and publisher, today announced its participation at PAX Australia, taking place from 19 – 21 Julyin Melbourne. The event, which marks the first PAX event outside the United States, is expected to attract more than 35,000 gamers from Australia and around the world.
Featuring the largest booth at the show (No. 1530), Wargaming will give Australian gamers a chance to experience the global phenomenon that is World of Tanks, a game which now boasts more than 60 million registered players and holds the Guinness Book world record for single-server player concurrency. The 300 square meter booth will feature World of Tanks gaming stations, as well as tournaments complete with great prizes. For history buffs, the booth will also feature a real-life tank for photo opportunities.
In addition to exhibiting at PAX, Wargaming will be hosting a surprise international celebrity gamer and will be offering PAX attendees a once in a lifetime opportunity to test their metal against their special guest at a number of World of Tanks gameplay stations at the stand.
Finally, Wargaming will also be offering interview opportunities for media with Victor Kislyi, CEO, Wargaming.net and Jasper Nicolas, General Manager for Southeast Asia.
