Melbourne 8 October 2008 — Carbonite Australia Pty Ltd, the distributor of Carbonite online backup services for consumers and small businesses, today announced the release of its Australian website www.carbonite.com.au
Carbonite Australia is one of the first Carbonite Partners to localise its website providing Australian customers with a 30 day trial (as opposed to the standard 15 day trial), Australian pricing on a 1, 2 or 3 year subscription (starting at less than $6 per month) as well as product information.
Existing customers can use the website to access their Carbonite account and keep up to date with the latest product enhancements and releases through its News section.
“The awareness of Carbonite in Australia continues to grow since we launched the service in May this year,” said Arthur Koulianos, Carbonite Australia’s Product Manager. “The launch of our localised website shows our commitment to the service and our belief that Carbonite is an amazingly inexpensive and simple alternative for the home PC user and SOHO markets.”
Another exciting development for Carbonite customers is the launch of the beta version for Mac users. Customers who are interested in trialling it can simply visit www.carbonite.com.au where they will find the link to the beta site. The final release is planned for later this year.
Carbonite Australia also plans to launch both an Affiliate and a Reseller program in the next few months. Affiliates can register their interest by emailing info@carbonite.com.au. Resellers can complete an online enquiry form from the Carbonite Australia website.
“We have already received significant interest from many resellers, particularly those that service small business. At this stage we are still working on our Reseller System, but once complete it will allow resellers to order and manage subscriptions and associated clients online. These are very exciting times for Carbonite,” Mr Koulianos said.
