AIE can today confirm the special editions of Dead Island: Riptide that will be available in Australia when the game launches on April 23. The two retailer-exclusive editions will contain the following:

Survivor Edition – Exclusive to EB Games

·         Exclusive Survivor Edition Tin Box

·         World Exclusive Survivor Notebook

·         Exclusive Weapons Pack DLC

·         In-game Character Skins DLC

Pre-Order Edition – Exclusive to JB Hi-Fi

·         Dead Island: Riptide game on PC, PS3 or Xbox 360

·         Official Steelbook

·         In-game Character Skins DLC

Both editions (pictured below) are available on PC (RRP $69.95), PS3 and Xbox 360 (RRP $89.95).

In addition, the first Dead Island: Riptide gameplay trailer has been released and demonstrates the new “Hub Defense” mission type in which the island’s survivors must fortify their hub base and then fend off wave after wave of undead enemies. You can view the first gameplay trailer here.
