THQ presents the “Genesis” trailer for the highly-anticipated first-person shooter Metro: Last Light, introducing you to the bleak post-apocalyptic world of Metro.

In addition, in preparation for next year’s release of Metro: Last Light THQ is inviting players to delve into the first game of the franchise, the critically acclaimed cult-classic Metro 2033, for free!

Starting Wednesday, Dec. 12 and continuing through Monday, Dec. 17, THQ will offer a free digital PC copy of Metro 2033 via Steam to each community member of the Metro Facebook page (while quantities last).

Based on the novel of the same name by acclaimed Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and set in the shattered subway of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intense underground survival in which the fate of mankind rests in the player’s hands.
