TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT™ 2 COMING TO DIGITAL DOWNLOAD FOR ALL HOME CONSOLES THIS YEAR.

NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S. today announced that its hit fighting game TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT™ 2 will be available for download on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Wii U™ system this holiday season.

Via the PlayStation®Network for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment, TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT can be downloaded starting November 21, 2012. For the Wii U console the game can be purchased on the Nintendo eShop on the launch window of the new console. And will also be available on Xbox LIVE Games On Demand for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft late December.

In addition, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 has been updated this week to include the final time unlocked characters; Unknown, Dr. Boskonovitch and Violet.  Additional characters; Kunimitsu, Angel, Ancient Ogre and Michelle Chang will also be unlocked for players who did not receive those characters as pre-order items.  All additional characters are free and will be added to the character select screen when players boot up TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 with an online connection.

To date the TEKKEN series has sold more than 40 million units, making it the most successful and popular fighting game franchise in the world. The development team is continually seeking ways to improve the series and is introducing several ground-breaking new features in TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2. One of these features is Fight Lab, which allows new and experienced players to learn basic and advanced TEKKEN mechanics through a series of stages while being able to customize their own Combot character by purchasing moves from other characters to mix and match into a deadly combat machine. TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 also introduces Pair Play, which gives players the ability to play four-player TEKKEN matches with each player controlling a tag combatant.  TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 also gives players the option of fighting in one-on-one matches and solo fighter vs. a tag-team battle. These new modes provide additional gameplay options for seasoned TEKKEN fans while providing an easier point of access to new players.
