“Forza Horizon” Xbox LIVE demo has been downloaded more than one million times
Microsoft, Playground Games, and Turn 10 Studios today announced the immediate availability of the year’s biggest racing game, “Forza Horizon1.” This critically acclaimed new game in the fan-favourite Forza franchise takes players onto the open roads as part of the Horizon Festival – a massive cars and music festival set in the heart of Colorado. “Forza Horizon” will be available internationally beginning October 23.
This week, the Xbox LIVE demo for “Forza Horizon” crossed the one million download mark. The demo is available exclusively on Xbox LIVE for both Gold2 and Silver members and those who download and play the demo and then play the full game will receive an in-game 2013 SRT Viper GTS, complete with a custom livery.
In addition, today Turn 10 released the latest instalment of the “Forza Horizon – Behind the Scenes” video series. Featuring an in-depth look at the Horizon Festival, this episode offers fans a chance to peek behind the curtain to see how the “Forza Horizon” soundtrack amplifies the action-packed driving in the game. Fans will hear from UK BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank, who hand-picked all the artists and songs to create Horizon’s critically acclaimed soundtrack. In addition to curating the “Forza Horizon” soundtrack, da Bank also contributed his insight and expertise as founder of the UK’s annual Bestival music festival into making “Forza Horizon’s” fictional Horizon Festival feel as authentic and exciting as possible.
“Forza Horizon — Behind the Scenes Part 4” also focuses on the game’s extensive competitive features. From a single-player mode that challenges players to become the top driver of the Horizon Festival, to an extensive suite of online and community features that allows players to compete against their friends, as well as flex their creative muscles, “Forza Horizon” is the ultimate expression of car passion.
“Play and Win” Incentives: Players who purchase and play “Forza Horizon” during the first week of release will receive a free gift car – the 2010 Saleen S5S Raptor; a unicorn car typically only available from the “Forza Horizon” community team.
Forza Horizon Rally Expansion: Look for the “Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack”, which will be released December 18 on Xbox LIVE for 1,600 MS Points. “Forza Horizon” Season Pass owners will receive the Rally Expansion Pack automatically for no additional cost.
Forza Horizon Season Pass: The “Forza Horizon Season Pass” gives fans automatic access to the best add-on content for “Forza Horizon”, including six months of DLC content, the “Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack”, and more, all at a discounted price.
