LG JOINS FORCES WITH ACTIVISION FOR THE LAUNCH OF CALL OF DUTY®: BLACK OPS II

LG’s IPS7 range of monitors showcases stunning Call of Duty®: Black Ops II

Sydney, Monday, 22 October, 2012 – LG Electronics Australia (LG) is proud to announce its partnership with Activision Australia with its IPS7 monitor being chosen as the screen to introduce Call of Duty: Black Ops II to the Australian market.

The partnership signals a new collaboration in the Australian market for LG and Activision, bringing together LG’s industry leading IPS technology to offer Call of Duty fans a truly immersive viewing experience. The IPS7 series of monitors will be available from 7th October ahead of the highly-anticipated release of award-winning development studio Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II on 13th November.

Executive Vice President of Activision Asia-Pacific, Philip Earl, believes there’s a natural synergy between brands. “Call of Duty: Black Ops II is a truly cinematic experience, so we want players to fully immerse themselves in Treyarch’s visually-stunning world and LG’s world-class screens are the best way to do that.”

LG’s IPS7 series offers clear images with smooth colour changes, which means less stress on the eyes even when using a monitor for an extended period of time – a huge bonus for gamers. The IPS7 screen will deliver one of the best gaming experiences for Australians, and is exemplified with Activision as a partner for what will is the most anticipated entertainment launch of the year.

In celebration of the partnership with Activision Australia, LG is giving fans an opportunity to be one of the first to own a Call of Duty: Black Ops II Care Package Edition and their very own LG IPS monitor to enjoy the epic game at its best. Fans will be able to enter the competition via LG’s Facebook page, from now until the 29th October 2012.

There are nearly 200 prize packs up for grabs; to win fans will need to write in 25 words or less ‘how an LG IPS monitor will help give them an edge in their next gaming session.’ Prizes will be dispatched to the winner on the same day that Call of Duty: Black Ops II goes on sale in Australia to ensure they are one of the first to receive the game. “LG stands for innovation and high performance, and we have been creating stunning picture quality, and enhancing real life viewing experiences for years; the IPS7 series is the next step in this focus providing gamers with the best display possible. With realistic colour display, less eye strain, wide viewing angles, and a 5ms response time; there’s nothing better for delivering the fast paced,  heart-pumping experience like Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” says LG’s General Manager of Marketing, Lambro Skropidis.

“This partnership with Activision cements LG as the number one provider for immersive gaming experiences, and we are proud to be associated with the most popular entertainment franchise of all time.”

LG’s IPS7 series will be in stores from 7th October. Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be available in store 13th November. The title carries an MA 15+ Classification (Strong Violence and Coarse Language) by the Australian Government Classification Board.
