Far Cry 3 PC Specs
Ubisoft has announced PC specs and protection details for Far Cry 3® on Windows® PC as the teams prepares for the 29th of November launch of the game across EMEA.
Jump into an optimal Far Cry 3 experience with three sets of specs for a vast array of machines:
Minimum specs
Processor: 2.66 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo E6700 or 3.00 GHz AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 6000+ or better
RAM: 4 GB
Video Card: 512 MB DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher (see supported list)
Recommended Specs
Processor: Intel Core i3-530 or AMD Phenom II X2 565 or better
RAM: 6 GB
Video Card: 1024 MB DirectX 11-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher (see supported list)
Hi-Performance Specs
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K or AMD FX-4150 or better
RAM: 8 GB
Video Card: 1024 MB DirectX 11-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher (see supported list)
Supported Video Cards:
ATI Radeon HD 2900 / 3000 / 4000 / 5000 / 6000 / 7000 series
Nvidia GeForce GTX 8800 / GTX 9000 / GT 200 / GT 400 / GT 500 / GT 600 series
Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game.
A one-time activation of Far Cry 3 for PC is performed via Uplay PC. An internet connection is required for this one-time activation process. Once activated, the game can be played online to enjoy new social features in single player and multiplayer, such as Friends, Party and Chat, or switched to offline mode in the Uplay PC settings menu for a single player experience without broadband connection.
Far Cry 3 is scheduled to release for Windows® PC on November 29, 2012 at the same time as the versions for the Xbox 360® and the Sony PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
