“you’d be hard pressed to find a similar show on television.” – TV Fanatic
“this sprawling historical series has the power to sweep you back to the American frontier of 1865…(Anson Mount) is a classic Clint Eastwood cowboy” – The Weekend Australian
Season two of the gritty, modern Western series Hell on Wheels will be available to purchase from iTunes from 20 September. Episodes will be
released weekly the day after their Australian premiere on Foxtel. The journey of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) continues in season two –
a journey that is filled with danger as he attempts to separate himself from his troubled past. This season explores the struggle for power, the
corruption and the greed that surrounded this turning point in American history. Hell on Wheels demonstrates just how uncivilised the business of
civilisation can be.
Season two consists of eight one-hour episodes with a two-hour finale and will also be available from Sony, Xbox, Foxtel and Telstra (Telstra in October – date to be advised).
Hell on Wheels tells the epic story of post-Civil War America, focusing on a Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannan (Anson Mount: Straw Dogs, Last Night) who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who killed his wife. His journey takes him west to Hell on Wheels, a dangerous and raucous melting pot of a town that travels with and services the construction of the first transcontinental railroad. Hell on Wheels also stars Common (Wanted) Dominique McElligot (The Guard, Moon) and Colm Meaney (Con Air, The Commitments). Hell on Wheels season 1 is available on Blu-ray, DVD and iTunes now. Season 2 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD through Hopscotch Entertainment/eOne in January 2013.
