Creating your brand for transmedia.
Developing a property, not a television show.
The relationship between Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop.
How do you green-light a project from a creative and business standpoint?
How a children’s show can work with social media.
Martin will also draw on his experience as an author to cover issues relevant to current and aspiring storytellers, answering questions such as:
What are publishers looking for?
Do you need an agent?
What rights should you hold onto?
The event will be presented by Martin Baynton, co-creator of The WotWots with Sir Richard Taylor (Weta Workshop) and the show’s series editor and Executive Producer. Martin has an international reputation as a writer and illustrator of over 30 children’s books. His titles have been published by major publishing houses including Walker Books, Penguin, Scholastic and Greenwillow. His book series Jane and the Dragon has become a modern classic and has never been out of print since it was first published in 1986. He has also worked for the stage, radio, TV and film as a producer, director, screenwriter and script editor.
If you are a writer, creator or producer you cannot miss this incredible opportunity to hear from one of the veterans of the industry. Tickets are strictly limited for this WAnimate exclusive event, so book online at:
