Francis Ford Coppola’s Godfather trilogy collected nine Academy Awards and was nominated for a further twenty becoming recognised as a bona fide, cinematic masterpiece in the process. Now, to celebrate its 40th birthday, the trilogy has been restored, re-mastered and will be re-released in a special five disc DVD (or nine disc DVD/Blu-ray) anniversary boxset.
Each set boasts an array of original re-mastered special features and bonus 40th anniversary special features such as a look at The Godfather on the Red Carpet, four short films on The Godfather and a feature on When The Shooting Stopped. The boxsets also include the original lined script for the first film, never before seen behind the scenes photography with commentary and a Corleone family tree poster.
