HIT SURFING MOVIE BUSTIN’ DOWN THE DOOR INSPIRES A THRILLING AFL WIN.

MELBOURNE, Friday, 15 May 2009 – Fremantle coach Mark Harvey has cited Madman surfing film BUSTIN’ DOWN THE DOOR (DVD available June 3rd – $29.95srp) as the “inspiration” behind his team’s seven point victory over Carlton at Gold Coast Stadium last Saturday.*

The team viewed the film on the morning of the game, which was then followed by an inspirational talk from surfing legend and BUSTIN’ DOWN THE DOOR star Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew, whom coach Harvey described as “absolutely sensational”. Harvey also described the ‘unfamiliar territory’ parallels between their victory on the Gold Coast and what ‘Rabbit’ and his surfing comrades achieved in Hawaii in 1975.

Narrated by Edward Norton (FIGHT CLUB, AMERICAN HISTORY X), BUSTIN’ DOWN THE DOOR is the inspiring story of a group of young surfers from Australia and South Africa who sacrificed everything to revolutionise a sport, a culture, and an industry that is today worth billions of dollars and has captured the imagination of the world. Surfing would never be the same again, and the thrilling, inspiring and even dangerous gamble these brash youths took to make their mark has never been revealed until now.
