Tissot’s 3D Augmented Reality Technology brings new meaning to window shopping

Watch lovers can now ‘try on’ Tissot’s latest range with the touch of a button thanks to the Swiss watchmakers’ 3D augmented reality technology.

Throughout November, JR Duty Free shop windows across the country will be transformed into an interactive shopping experience where – using a camera and touchscreen system – sophisticated 3D technology transforms a paper wristband into any Tissot watch. Consumers will not only see how watches look on their wrist, they can also experiment with the touch screen features, including the diver functionality of the Sea Touch and the altimeter, meteo, compass and thermometer of the wider ranges.

In addition people using the machine can take a picture of themselves and post it to twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #TissotReality to enter to win the watch of their choice every week of the campaign.

Tissot will also be giving an additional Tissot Racing Touch watch per day, valued at $750RRP. To enter customers who try or buy a watchfrom JR Duty Free during the promotion simply need to scan the QR code from the window or paper watch and enter via the TISSOT Australia microsite, www.tissot.com.au/reality. Alternatively, they can access the microsite directly to enter.

For Tissot fans who don’t have access to one of the participating JR Duty Free Stores there’s a simple solution. By logging onto the Tissot website visitors can easily download the wristband, and using a webcam, can also virtually ‘try on’ watches.

The Augmented Reality application is available on the Tissot website www.tissot.ch/reality.
