New “Kinect Sports: Season Two” Celebrates a New Developer Vidoc, the Launch of the Kinect Sports Network on Xbox.com and Two All New Sports

With less than a week from the Oct. 27 launch of “Kinect Sports: Season Two,” 1 developers Rare and Big Park Games today released a new ViDoc that takes you into the locker room and gives you a sneak peek at the winning playbook for this year’s much-anticipated sequel. Get ready for the full body, full motion, full voice control fun of “Kinect Sports: Season Two” with tips on using the in-game voice controls to guide you through the six different sports, and learn how to send challenges to friends down the street or across the globe.

As fans around the world know, no sporting event is complete without colorful commentary from knowledgeable and zany sportscasters, which is why “Kinect Sports: Season Two” is bringing you the Kinect Sports Network.

Now on Xbox.com, fans can tune into six channels of virtual sports that show off the game’s unique full body play and voice controls, while throwing in a few laughs along the way. Each channel has its own personality, from the high-octane football studio show “The Drill” to the authentic British darts channel, “The Oche.” 

Microsoft have also announced that “Kinect Sports: Season Two” will be arriving in stores with six of the biggest sports from around the world  featuring full body motion tracking and in-game voice controls. Starting today via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, 2 Xbox LIVE Gold subscription (sold separately) required for downloadable content. you can get a preview of the sequel to last year’s best-selling Kinect game with a demo of Golf and Tennis for “Kinect Sports: Season Two.” 

Available now, the demo includes:

  • Golf – Forget the driving range, you can hit the links on a practice hole to prepare for your first full round. Turn to the caddy for help and use your voice to ask for a new club. Raise a hand to your forehead for a quick overhead glimpse of the entire hole. Repeat this demo hole as many times as you like to practice different drives, approach shots and putts.
  • Tennis – Put away the ball machine and tell your private instructor to hit the bench, it’s time to practice your skills against a real opponent. Hone your backhand and sharpen your reflexes as you prepare for your first big match.

“Kinect Sports: Season Two” launches exclusively on Kinect for Xbox 360 on October 27 and is rated “G” in Australia. It will include six exciting new sports, including Baseball, Skiing, Tennis, Football, Golf and Darts. Competitive fun for the whole family, fans around the world have made “Kinect Sports” the best-selling franchise on Kinect for Xbox 360, with more than three million games sold to date – the most of any Kinect title.
