WHAT: Sydney’s first ever ‘Pup-Up’ store will be on show on Customs House Square, Thursday 25th August 2011 involving Australia’s finest award-winning dogs. Drop by to see Sydneysiders get tips on dog obedience, dog grooming and pet photography while playing with the cute, furry visitors to Sydney’s CBD and experience Nintendogs + cats on the Nintendo 3DS.

The dogs will also be showing off a few special tricks to the audience at the free event, providing beautiful photo opportunities at the iconic location.

This oasis of fun for dogs, Augmented Reality (AR) pets and people will showcase the benefits of pet ownership following research linking all sorts of pets with sociability, happiness and wellbeing, and showing Australia as a nation of pet lovers.

Visitors can take stunning 3D images of the beautiful pups using the Nintendo 3DS or interact with their own virtual pooch via Augmented Reality on the provided consoles while playing the
Nintendogs + Cats game.

WHO:
· Acclaimed Sydney Psychologist Victoria Kasunic will be at the store to comment on the pet research

· Some of Sydney’s dog breeders will be available to answer any pet-related questions

· The award-winning Redbird Photography will be on hand to discuss pet photography and their work with dog rescue shelters
