World of Warcraft Patch 4.2, Rage of the Firelands is here! With a new raid, a legendary questline, all-new raid tier and PvP armor sets, the most diverse daily questing experience to date, major story developments, PvP Season 10, user interface enhancements, and much more, patch 4.2 has brought Azeroth a little something for everyone.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT STARTER EDITION

The World of Warcraft trial has undergone a few big changes with the launch of content update 4.2, Rage of the Firelands. Beginning today, we’ve removed the previous 10- and 14-day trial time restrictions, and players who are interested in trying out World of Warcraft can now play the base game for free up to a maximum character level of 20 – all they need is a Battle.net account and an Internet connection.

To mark the occasion, we’ve also given the trial a new name: World of Warcraft Starter Edition. Players who had previously signed up for 10- or 14-day trials will be able to hop back into the Starter Edition right where they left off.

The Starter Edition also includes access to The Burning Crusade, so new players can jump straight into their adventures in Azeroth as a Draenei or Blood Elf!

What is the World of Warcraft Starter Edition?
The World of Warcraft Starter Edition allows players to access World of Warcraft for free — all you need is a Battle.net account and an Internet connection. Starter Edition players can play up to a maximum character level of 20 and are able to upgrade to a full, paid account at any time, allowing them to continue their adventures where they left off. The Starter Kit gives gamers who are interested in trying out World of Warcraft a chance to experience the game before purchasing a copy.

How do I get the World of Warcraft Starter Edition?
There are multiple ways to begin playing with the World of Warcraft Starter Edition:
– Visit www.warcraft.com.

– Receive an invitation from a friend through the Recruit-A-Friend program.
– Use a trial key included in other Blizzard games and products.
