Madman proudly presents the haunting, BIUTIFUL, available on DVD (RRP: $34.95) and Blu-Ray (RRP: $39.95) from 14 September 2011.

Bardem is Uxbal, a terminally ill cancer-sufferer and man of contrasting and conflicting morals. He is a dedicated and loving father of two, though he also operates an underground merchandising racket fuelled by an illegal immigrant trade.

Tormented by a strained relationship with his bi-polar wife, Uxbal’s spiritual sensitivity begins to gift him with a sombre connection to the afterlife and the ability to see the deceased. Sensing the danger of his own imminent death and haunted by disturbing premonitions, Uxbal is compelled to embark upon a final journey of redemption, before his time is up.

BIUTIFUL’s limited Australian theatrical release by Madman generated a Box Office result close to $450,000. The film has enjoyed great reviews worldwide, and has also been nominated for many awards globally, including a ‘Best Foreign Film’ Oscar® and a BAFTA.
