Japanese Company Reaches out to People of Christchurch
Sydney, AUSTRALIA – Namco Bandai Partners, an International Entertainment software distributor, headquartered in Tokyo, with a local office in New Zealand, have donated €20,000 Euros to the people of Christchurch at a ceremony on Friday 20th May in Auckland.
The 20,000 Euro donation was presented by Mr Shu Takahara, President of Namco Bandai, to the Canterbury Earthquake Heritage building Fund, in a ceremony at the Westin Hotel Auckland on Friday the 20th of May.
Gerard Noonan Managing Director of Namco Bandai Partners Australia and New Zealand today said “We feel an enormous amount of sorrow for the people and businesses of Christchurch and hope this donation can help rebuild and restart the many lives of those affected”.
Anna Crighton, Chair of the Christchurch Heritage fund stated, “The Devastation in Christchurch has touched the hearts and minds of many, especially with the devastation of iconic world renowned buildings such as The Christchurch Cathedral and Provincial Chambers”. “On behalf of the people of Canterbury and the Canterbury Earthquake Heritage Buildings Fund Trust we gratefully thank Namco Bandai Partners for their generosity. The events that have so severely affected the people of Christchurch and Canterbury remind us of the vulnerability of our heritage places. The spirit behind this gift is special as it comes from a genuine empathy and understanding of how nature can change a city”.
