THE MUST HAVE AUSTRALIA DAY OUTFIT

The world’s biggest costume craze goes patriotic

Australia is already famous for its football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars; well now you can add the Aussie Flag Morphsuit to the list. No Australia Day shin dig will be complete without the all-in-one fancy dress costume that is taking over the world.

The Morphsuit covers the whole body (even the head), you can breathe through them, see through them and even drink through them. Despite being a UK invention, the suits have become an instant hit with the land Down Under quickly becoming the biggest buyers of Morphsuits per capita in the world.

“We all know how fun it is to dress up, but we’re taking this to a whole new level,” says Morphsuit co-inventor Fraser Smeaton.  “Morphsuits are all about having fun and being noticed. If you are wearing an all in one stretchy Lycra suit, you are guaranteed to be seen.

“The Morphsuit’s popularity in Australia comes as no surprise to us; the concept fits perfectly with the Aussie culture and humour and I have no doubt there will be many Morphs at beaches, backyard BBQ’s, bars and pubs this Australia Day,” says Mr Smeaton.

There are about 100,000 morphs running around the globe, and more than 450,000 Morphsuits fans on Facebook; sharing pics, videos and ideas of what to do in your Morphsuit. Surfing, sinking a few VBs at the cricket, sky-diving, playing footy, marathons and bungee jumping are just some of the many things people have done in a Morphsuit.

Morphsuits are available in M, L, XL and XXL and in 29 colours and designs. The suits, along with a variety of accessories, like wigs, glasses, sweatbands and shoe covers, are available for purchase at www.morphsuits.com.au. Morphsuit prices range from $75 to $85.
